Yes, I have some rather detailed (i.e., data packed) Excel spreadsheets.

Quite the thing & now quite an unique distinction.

There is a fair amount of ground work being done all around the car park.

Seemed churlish not to SHARE & preserve this collection.

They are both in Maine, only 110 miles apart, BUT this new National Monument might as well be on a different planet.

The Park is in GREAT shape. Mainly open. Restrooms SPOTLESS!

The intent of the Park's illustrious Founders was ensure FREE access to these lands.

The NPS is being extremely tactful & diplomatic. 'Cadillac', however, was NO 'noble'.

Will this become a necessity at 'Acadia' too? Maybe we can do it more discreetly.

The 3 NPS campgrounds, not on ‘Isle au Haut’, viz., ‘Blackwoods’, ‘Seawall’ & ‘Schoodic Woods’, are currently open & functioning as if there is NO Shutdown. So, right now these campgrounds are FULL, busy & have some staffing. So squatters won’t stand much chance because space will be limited & there will be FEE-PAYING customers who will take umbrage to squatters trying to muscle into THEIR space.

Unlikely that the NPS will be able to enforce their rules, e.g., the 10 people cutoff.

It was in the 1939 brochure -- a full 20 years after the Park had been established.

But, of course, Downtown Bar Harbor with ALL the hotels, shops & restaurants is NOT part of the Park.

How many of YOU knew this? NPS does not talk about this much.

Acadia & Mount Desert are intrinsically linked. 62% of the Park is on Mount Desert Island.

Acadia, as a FEE CHARGING Park, had some 'money in the bank' prior to the Shutdown. Plus, in the scheme of things, it is a SMALL Park.

The Park actually is spread across an Archipelago of at least 17 Islands. Yes, 17.
