'Bass Harbor Light' -- A New Viewing Area, At Eye Level To Light.

There is a fair amount of ground work being done all around the car park.

They have taken down one section of the wooden railing fence & opened up a rough, dirt floor (i.e., unpaved) viewing area which puts you at the same level as the light. NEAT.

So, you can see the light (& lens) straight in front of you.

Not sure if this is just temporary or whether they plan to spruce it up & make it permanent. Work seems to be in progress despite the 2025 Government Shutdown.

I will, of course, keep an eye on this & let you know.

Wanted to bring this to your attention ASAP. Oh, I visited last Thursday, i.e., November 30, 2025.
