
Today in “Trash for Treasure”, we look at a personal favorite of mine: Torment, the set that decided to boost one color in particular; to the point where it even got more cards in the set than the other members of the color pie. Black was the main focus here, and you really only need to look at “Cabal Coffers” as an example of what this set did to the color as a whole. Of course there were other highly interesting cards to work with, seeing as the set also focused on a powerhouse of mechanics in form of Madness, Threshold and Flashback, with options like “Circular Logic” and “Basking Rootwalla” giving you an idea of what Torment brought to the table. In my personal opinion, there were also other, less popular cards that had interesting ideas, which is why I thought that making the “Trash for Treasure” for this set could be helpful to grasp what budget options there might be on the table.
