Today we take a close look at a couple of entires in Henry James's notebooks, to see how he casts and recasts his ideas - always looking to improve them.

Today I'm talking about Henry James' initial note for 'The Turn of the Screw' - his story that's been adapted into so many films, and ripped off so many times. He got his hint, his donnee, from the Archbishop of Canterbury. And he noted it down in a way that does all a note should do. But what is that?
