ive been seeing this person's art rendering on my tl so i tried mimicking the process. it gets to the coloring part very fast and i miss rendering like this... i'm still very clueless when it comes to rendering so it looks somewhat believable in 3d form but it's fun fucking around
they started off laying down base skin color (you can just slap a big pile of color on the canvas too, and tbh not knowing this stopped me from rendering for a lil while LOL), then rough sketch for face outline, then paint stuff like face contours -> face features -> other stuff, erase the extra colors as needed, then i fuck around with the rest
when i draw, i usually sketch then i painstakingly fill in the base colors, and maybe i add shadows n stuff if i have the energy to do that. maybe i can do this as a separate thing from my sketches every now and then as a treat to myself...
