- formerly named "it's all magic in here" because I thought the name sounds silly, then I eventually realized it's too long for my liking 😭 (I also don't like how IAMIH feels...)
- in a way, this storyline started off as an inside joke to myself and friends i share my oc x canon lore with. at this point they're so detached from the source material that they're my ocs now
character inspiration bullshit
- if you've known a thing or two about my oc x canon antics... then yes, this storyline is an elaborate excuse for me to import those ships into a new setting and have them mess around together. nightmare inspiration pipeline
- the main 7 (from the main narrative) are deliberately based on my oc x canon pairings (from ashverse/arcaneverse), plus neb who was an oc in another game and got ported too...
- the side narrative happened because of reagan and ariya. i intended for them to be "the main 7's antagonistic force that later joins the main 7" at first, but I couldn't find the right plot to actually bring those their stories together... so charon (originated from reagan) and arisa (originated from ariya) now have their own plot going on
- team darkstorm and literally everyone else may or may not have influences from some of my other favorite
characters... however, i'll share the funniest ones here.
- jericho happened bc i thought it'd be funny to bring my kds x exiled crackship back to life
- tbh team darkstorm were initially created to be government-assigned rivals/foils/parallels to the main 7 (arun-zero, elias-rill, jericho-silver, nelle-lumina, devon-mordred-adler, lyra-neb). however the characters they got inspired from WILDLY varies.
- arisa's and charon's three initial co-workers (gavin, kiran, david) were based on my arcane universe fixation characters. gavin and kiran are basically "ok they're kind of morden and averill expies except i'm not giving them government assigned partners", while david... he's a funny case bc i couldn't think of a surname for david, decided to just go for embershield and make silver and david brothers, and bam.
- in a way, king david silver was splitted and ported into two brothers in ghost chase. david is the evil brother (aka. he gets more traits that makes me feel like bullying kds), while silver is the good brother (doesn't give me as much aggression as the original kds). i've always thought this is funny as shit.
