OCs

Welcome, welcome! If you're here for characters who have been occupying my headspace (in form of daydreams and creative muses), you're in the right place! The details and stories may be messily organized sometimes, so this section exists in an attempt to try to organize them together. You'll find infodumps and scattered pages here and there.

Content Warnings + Fiction Disclaimer

A lot of characters/stories will feature, depict, and allude to sensitive topics such as...

  • Death, Violence, Abuse (both psychological and physical alike)
  • Toxic/Unhealthy/Imbalanced/Dysfunctional/Abusive Relationships (in families, romantic relationships, and so on)
  • Elements of Dark Fantasy, Gothic Horror, Psychological Fiction
  • Abuse of Power, Dehumanization, Self-Destructive Behaviors, Grief, Crime, Social Injustices, etc.

My portrayals and exploration of these topics may not suit everyone's subjective preferences and standards. If you're a younger audience (especially below 18) or you're easily influenced by fiction, do not treat my fiction as educational stories. Read the content warnings if you notice it in stories/profiles.

Alright? Good. That's about the main warnings I have to give. Now time to get into the nitty gritty...

A lot of my stories involve the inescapable—unfortunate circumstances, curses, or even tragedies. Despite their forboding futures, it's still very possible for them to live their lives and chase their ambitions.

As for other notes on my fiction...

  • Think of my stories/characters on this website as me trying to record the madness that goes in my head. Sometimes I try turning those records into coherent stories.
  • I tend to hop between different stories to keep my brain amused and occupied, so a lot of stories are perpetually incomplete, subjected to be picked up by my brain on its whims.
  • Expect tonal whiplashes in different universes/storylines. Maybe the whiplash isn't really that much for other people. But for example, stories like Disembodied and Ghost Chase have very different auras in my brain...
    • My tendency for whiplashes also rub onto my characters' artworks. You might see a cute drawing and details of their crimes archived in the same page.
General OC FAQs
Can I draw/write/make fanart about them? Any notes on gifting you art?

Yeah, sure! I'd prefer nothing NSFW + no profit made from it.

If you're drawing a gift for me, I prefer having my OCs drawn rather than my "personas" or anything representing myself. Please go for characters I frequently draw in the recent months, or any original characters who strike your fancy.

Thoughts on Headcanons/Shipping/Kinning your characters?

Do whatever you want—as long as you don't harrass/annoy/bother me or other people about it, and you understand that it won't affect the canon material I have of them.

There are continuity errors/contradictions in your stories/pages! Which one's more canon?

Profile Pages > Storyline Pages > Worldbuilding Pages >>> Individual Artworks/Stories.

The artworks tend to be harder to edit, so it's more difficult to to keep them as up-to-date as the wiki pages. However, you're free to think of my artworks as medias with its own continuity, if that makes it easier for you.

What's the best way to get started?

I suggest stuff from A Pawn's Creations universe due to the amount of stuff I've already created for it, and the pages are generally solid enough to give you some understanding about what goes down there.

If you need a "hook" to start diving through my OC pages...

  • Check out my current month's art archive, and take a quick look around to see if there's anything recent that piques your interest.
  • Check out OC Thought Dump for recent updates/ramblings on my OCs.
  • Scroll down (or check out OC and Storyline Masterlist) and look around for any story or character that catches your attention.
  • Hint: I usually chunk each setting's lore into individual storylines. These are their own self-contained storylines you can start off from.
I notice you draw furries/stickmans/g-stick/object characters/other character design subcultures. Are there any settings exclusive to these characters?

Technically, no. I don't really have any settings exclusively created for these characters. I typically conceptualize most of my characters as humans/humanoids.

I don't have the willpower to just create an entirely new universe/storyline each time I wanna get into these designs. However, I do draw my existing (humanoid) characters in these artstyles whenever the inspiration strikes.

Think of it as alternate artstyles to visualize my OCs as.

Any plans to publish your OC's stories? What about any aims for your stories?

Once I have the resources and the ambitions for it, maybe I'll create a serial webnovel/comic or publish a larger work.

But for now, I'm pretty content maintaining an archive/wiki of my OCs like this, where anyone can visit what's already "published" on my website while being able to update stuff in my own pace.

Otherwise, my ultimate goal for my stories... I don't really have one. However, it'd be great if it can make someone feel. This sentiment doubles for anyone with a complicated relationship with feelings.

What do your OCs mean to you?

My original universe is essentially my current paracosm, and you know how paracosmists cherish their own paracosms.

Personally, they're the products of my own mind and they're also my creative sandbox and they're also my creative muses and they're also my emotional support and they're also a way for me to process stuff and they're also a part of me and they're also—

"Is this OC section a heterocosm?" Yeah, what I've posted and publicized on my site is essentially that—the parts of my paracosm that I'm willing to share and publish to the world. Though, there are also a lot of less-polished stuff that I don't want to let them sit and rot in my private notes/headspace.

Any reasoning behind the use of "OCs" as a term?

Short answer: It takes like 2-3 letters to type and it roughly gets the meaning I wanted across.

Longer answer:

Yeah, this is basically a defense of my usage of this word. I like it mostly as a convenient shorthand.

A lot of my characters do exist in this weird limbo between "OCs created for self indulgence" and "characters created for a narrative/project", so I prefer leaning on the side of calling characters my OCs, where I can say "Oh, right. I haven't included them in any projects yet, so they remain in my OC headspace until I feel like creating something for them..."

60% of the time I treat my characters like I'm playing dollhouse in my headspace, and 40% of the time I get ambitious enough to be creating narratives and projects for them to exist in.

Useful links to help with keeping up on my OCs include:

  • OC and Storyline Masterlist: A large list of my characters and storylines, from all active universes! (Useful for searching my characters!)
  • OC Thought Dump: A place for OC updates, to a place for infodumping about my OCs!

Original Universe

Here is where (nearly all of) my original settings, storylines, and characters take place within.

These settings are:

  • made up with its own set of characters and storylines
  • connected with one another, forming what people may call "BNTverse" (not a final name)

A Pawn's Creations

A lonely, dysfunctional creator god begets dysfunctional creations.

The sub-worlds (and its self-contained storylines) in this setting include:

  • Pantheon Realm: The overarching setting for A Pawn's Creations, and where every gods reside at.
    • From the Nothingness: A story collection revolving around the gods of this universe.
    • Tales of the Undying: Immortals from different worlds are brought together to hang out under the eyes of the gods.
  • Sacred Earth: A world cleanly divided in six, taken care by most of the gods in the pantheon.
    • Disembodied: A storyline following a fallen hero's time in a cult, alongside cultists who seek to use her for the power she holds.
    • Haunted Waters: A story collection revolving around sailors and the wanderers of the seas.
    • The Blasphemous: A story collection revolving the blasphemous of the Sacred Earth.
    • The Souls of Earth: A collection of stories involving the ones meddling with the souls of the Sacred Earth.
  • Lands of Equinox: The chaotic lands and oceans blessed with abundant magic, born from the conflicts between the two gods.
    • The Starless Town: A storyline concept revolving around a resurrected wizard—Cairn—who wanted to figure out the story behind their murder, and a ghost who revived Cairn—Nydia—who also sought revenge for her murder years ago.
    • The Unseeing Stars: Involving the angels and the sinners.
    • Ghost Chase: A slice-of-life story collection revolving wizards and apparitions.
    • Legends of the Light and Shadow: A legend that continues to haunt the Lands of Equinox.
  • Fragile Dreamscape: A fragile and volatile world, held together by a god's existence and memories.
    • Carol of the Miracles: A storyline following Miracle Wielders—mortals who gained miraculous powers and sought to save their fellow people, and are oft at odds with one another.
  • Paradise's Ruins: A world created from the ruins within the Pantheon Realm, filled with hazardous and destructive forces.
    • Duels and Dramas: A collection of stories involving the Performer Duelists! Whether it's some silly shenanigans that go down between them, or actual duels—they'll all be featured here!
    • Feast of the Flesh and Blood: A story collection revolving a certain variant of vampires in Paradise's Ruins, who exist within the fleshkin's underworld society.
    • Defunct Machines: A story collection revolving rogue androids of Paradise's Ruins.

A Fragment's Realm

A realm of scattered, floating lands—created by a fragment of the aforementioned creator god.

The Wandering Seas

The vast, inescapable ocean-universe with immortal beings trapped in it for eternity.

This is the background universe which influences all my settings (it also doubles as a place where the creators of the settings above live together as immortals).

Its own sub-storylines (not taking place in anywhere above) include:

Miscellaneous

Ashes from the Seas is a collection of my fan content (e.g. OCs, fanart, fanfics) revolving around Arcane Adventures, World of Magic, and Arcane Odyssey. All set in its own distinct timeline/possibility, separated from canon.

OC x Canon hell

Personal OC x Canon boundaries

Most of these aren't something I'd cut ties/block you for, but I'll appreciate if these are respected 🙏

  • I prefer the term OC x Canon/Yumeship used on my pairings. Feel free to call me Yumejoshi/Yumejin/Yumedanshi/any other adjacent terms.
  • I would appreciate if you don't use Selfship (or any other terms that has very strong connotations of me shipping "myself" with a character.)
    • This includes calling the character I yumeshipped with as BNT's partner/wife/etc. (unless we're close enough). Please use OC's name for this instead.
    • However, the term F/O is an exception. The term is mostly used as a shorthand for "characters I heavily fixate on", rather than me actually seeing these guys as my significant other.
    • "Why?" I prefer keeping myself and my OC distinct and seperate. Please keep them separate and do not conflate me with my OCs.
  • I'm open to share all characters I ship my OCs with! I don't have anyone who gets no-sharing treatment.
    • If we yumeship with the same characters, please absolutely send me messages about the character and talk about them with me. Please.
    • I'll leave it to you to block/not engage with me if you see me shipping an OC with a character you don't want to see shipped.

Characters

For my original characters who I use to engage in OC x Canon stuff...

Ben Adler

A whimsical silly guy venturing for a purpose.

Ben Lamina

A wizard from Ironport.

Benjamin Zero

A rival turned a crew member of the Shining Pirates.

Ariya Anurak

An interpreter and translator for Cognito Inc.

The fictional others! Though, to be specific, they're more like "characters who did irreversible damage to my creative work ecosystem"

I do not intend to claim ownership for these characters, these pages are mostly used as my personal fanart/headcanon storage. Please also assume they won't be fully canon-complaint and will likely deviate from whatever canon has for them. They're pretty much my personal playground for canon divergence stuff.

Ideally, think of my depictions as a separate entity from the source material

Morden

A 'mercenary' in pursuit of his revenge against the Order of Aesir.

King David Silver

The ruler of Summer Hold.

Averill

The captain of the Shining Pirates.

Reagan Ridley

The current CEO of Cognito Inc.

from 1 to 10 how unhinged is this f/o lineup?

Alternate Universes Shenanigans

Maybe if this list grows big enough, I'll add sections dedicated to AUs in individual project's pages.

Dates
  • February 26th: The current version of The Wandering Seas comes to life in 2025! This marks the point where I feel much more passionate about the setting.
  • April 5th: A Fragment's Realm is up and running on this website in 2026!
  • April 10th: A Pawn's Creations's earliest concepts were created back in 2021!
  • July 20th: This website's birthday!!! It was created back in 2023!!!
  • October 6th: Funny Stickmen Misadventures was brought to life in 2020!

  • December 30th: Ashes from the Seas's birthday! It may not be its official creation date, but this marks its first presence on my site in 2024... Ashverse looked like something back in 2019? I believe? Then the proto-Ashverse was way back from 2016...
Inactive Projects

The shelved concepts and projects...

  • Funny Stickmen Misadventures: A project following the shenanigans and misadventures of four idiotic stickmen with stupidly powerful powers.
