Via the Glyos News Dump: October Toys Reviving Skeleton Warriors on Kickstarter! October Toys has the license, a couple of sculpted figures, and four figures deliverable around December.

The lowest pledge to get a figure is $13, while $55 can get you 4 different dudes. Baron Dark is the central remake, along with a skeletal Pheyden and a couple of skeletons - including a glow-in-the-dark one.

Via the ET: Exclusive Preview: Transformers Rock Out as 'Knights of Unicron' for Comic-Con. At $185, this is a boxed set with 4 figures and numerous other ephemera such as booklets, posters, and whatnot. One item looks like a vinyl record sleeve, and I reached out to HunterPR and was told it was not a vinyl record. Since the documentation indicates song titles like Circuit Breaker, Laser Phaser, and Rust Without You I wouldn't put it past them putting out a vinyl-free LP, which is to say, a jacket with MP3 download codes.

I anticipate at least one more robot in disguise for the convention, plus a few other items, but I doubt anything will be quite as amazing as this one. It's certainly one of the most lavish-packaging jobs for a convention boxed set and I doubt we'll soon see it topped in terms of sheer ambition.

The set makes use of molds from 2010-2012 with wigs, scarves, and 2008-2009 Animated accessories. America wears the crown for the truly unusual and special in exclusive toys. USA! USA! USA!

New to the Playstation 4 in Japan: Fighting Commander 4. This $46ish add-on to your gaming rig has a layout more conducive to your favorite Capcom fighting games, and it's expected to ship in about a week.

Xbox fans, it's time to download Murdered: Soul Suspect, a $60 game where a ghost apparently investigates his own death. Again? Microsoft says:

"The hardest murder to solve is your own. A dark, supernatural detective thriller with a unique gameplay twist: solving your own murder from the afterlife. Ronan O'Connor, a detective with the Salem police, has his life brought to a brutal end by a masked killer. Caught in the purgatorial world of Dusk he must combine his investigative skills with powerful supernatural abilities to uncover the shocking link between his own death and a series of killings terrifying the town of Salem."

A highlight: "This past March, Toys R Us reported a loss of one-billion dollars in the previous year." 70 employees will be out of work when the DC closes August 1.

Takara-Tomy posted Transformers Legends. This is one of many - there will be more - confusingly similarly named series of toys that will screw up your eBay searches.

2,800 yen Rattrap is based on the now-shipping Generations Deluxe mold, but with red rat eyes and a few other tweaks to make it match the Japanese redeco. Optimus Primal is based on the 2006 10th Anniversary version sold in the USA and Japan, but in colors more closely matching the original toy rather than the TV series. He'll be 6,500 yen, which I believe is more than I paid for the 2-pack with Megatron at Toys R Us here in the USA.

Also, check out this 10th Anniversary Milk Black Optimus Prime that's probably a knock-off but who the heck knows. It'll kill some time. (Thanks, Monz!) Toys R Us Japan has filthy Infiltration Mode Optimus Prime, so that's pretty awesome.

Via the Kickstarter: Legends of Cthulhu Retro Action Figure Toy Line!

A bunch of toy people got together to make the finest line 1979 didn't have to offer with 4 figures due around December. $90 (or $110) gets you 4 Kenner/Mego-style 3 3/4-inch action figures including 2 creatures, 2 humans, and a couple of accessories. Even if this doesn't interest you in the slightest, I suggest checking it out for its exceptional graphic design with numerous throwback catalogs and cardbacks. It's also worth pointing out that this is one of at least four 3 3/4-inch action figure lines on Kickstarter right now.

Also fascinating - and cheap, and ending tomorrow - is IAmElemental Action Figures for Girls. 3 3/4-inch super hero figures, basically a single buck with unique accessories, heads, and deco at $10 per shipped. The pricing is certainly right.

And of course, there's Boss Fight Studio's Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S. Action Figures from a bunch of ex-Hasbro folks making Classic-era Joes, basically. Already funded, and about $30 per figure.

And of course, there's still Skeleton Warriors Glyos Compatible Action Figures from October Toys.

This 6-inch, supposedly playable arcade game is about $26 and that probably doesn't speak too highly as to the quality, but it's certainly fascinating if your Marvel Legends or DC Universe Classics figures need a cool accessory.

Nintendo announces Amiibo, a series of figures compatible with the Wii U and the new Smash Bros. right out of the box. An adapter is being made to use these with the 3DS later.

Numerous games will be supported, but the cast shown for launch looks to be incredible - Samus Aran, Link, Pit, Mario, Wii Fitness Trainer, Kirby, Pikachu, Yoshi, and many more can be powered-up like Skylanders over time. Over a dozen figures are revealed right now, with more threatened for later. Clear off some shelf space.

Via the USA Today: Hot Wheels meets 'Star Wars' for Comic-Con. A $40 car in a swell, lightsaber-themed package anchors the story as well as the Homer in a fancy box, plus new Monster High and He-Man items.

The big surprise was the inclusion of touring exclusive Goat Man, because the likes of Strobo and Temple of Darkness Sorceress were "touring" exclusives in 2012 and 2013 respectively - it certainly would be handy to snag the new addition in San Diego! A 3 3/4-inch scale Arkham Knight Batmobile will be $85, but hey - it's big!

A shared exclusive between Disney Stores, MarvelShop.com, and Disneystore.com. Exclusive Unmasked Amazing Spider-Man 2 Figure Available at Marvelshop.com! This very popular figure has a couple of versions to be had, and this one has a head featuring Peter Parfield. Not bad! Lots of articulation here, kids. Keep an eye out for him in the Disney channels starting June 30.

Via The AllSpark: new BotCon exclusives are making the rounds. Primal Prime is based on a repaint of Optimal Optimus that was pretty scarce - I only saw it at the now-defunct ToyCo - and is the customization class toy for this year. Apelinq is also rumored to be available, and his face appears on a sticker for this figure.

The others are presumably bagged souvenirs, but the full details of those remain to be seen. Flamewar has been confirmed as the attendee freebie, while reports of Energon Sixshot (from Fall of Cybertron Fireflight/Air Raid) and Flareup (Prime Arcee) are out there as a bagged item.

$160 at Comic-Con can get you a Transformers SDCC Dinobot Special Edition Set. TFW2005 has a bunch of hi-res shots.

The set has gold, red, and silver repaints of Grimlock, Snarl, Slug, and Strafe toys with a killer box - a cardboard G1 Ark playset! The packaging itself may be even more exciting than the Age of Extinction toys inside, which are admittedly quite good - Strafe has two clear heads, and vac-metal gold and silver are all over the place.

Also notable, Botcon exclusive Kreons span 20 years of Transformers. Fractyl, Rattrap, G2 Breakdown, and others are available in Pasadena now... theoretically, maybe they're sleeping now.

Dino-riffic! The Hasbro Transformers Age of Extinction Grimlock was the coolest - and now Hasbro will have a "G1" version for Comic-Con in San Diego next month. So this is just way cheaper and still quite nice. So read on, and come back soon for more!

Hasbro shared some swell official pictures from BotCon for you Transformers fans and let me tell you, they weren't bad. The focus was on Generations for this year and next, plus the remainder of this year's seemingly thin Age of Extinction assortments which will actually include at least one Revenge of the Fallen and one G1 guy. Amazing!

Generations (Classic) Leader-class toys of Armada Megatron and a tank version of G1 Megatron were revealed for 2015. They share a basic design.

Generations (Classic) Voyager-class toys of Brainstorm (2014) and Optimus Prime (2015). Due to its unusual construction, Optimus has been speculated to be a combiner torso as the theme for 2015 will involve combiners. A silhouette for Superion was shown at a slide show.

Generations (Classic) Deluxe-class toys of Arcee (new mold) and Chromia (heavily retooled Prime First Edition Arcee mold) are due late in 2014. No 2015 deluxes were shown yet.

Generations (Classic) Legends-class toys of Nemesis Prime and Spinister and Cliffjumper with Suppressor were both shown - these are due in a few months. For 2015, the sidekicks have been dropped and we're seeing Powerglide (new mold), Thundercracker (Starscream), Bombshell (new mold), and Windcharger (Tailgate mold).

It's the first Walgreens exclusive from Hasbro: Marvel Legends Agent Venom Coming To Walgreens In August 2014.

From Hasbro and their PR firm: " We are excited to confirm that Hasbro's Marvel Spider-Man Legends Infinite 6" Agent Venom Action Figure, previously revealed at Comic-Con International in San Diego last Summer, will be made available this Fall, exclusively at Walgreens in the U.S.

"This figure will be available for pre-order next month at SDCC. Fans should visit Hasbro's display booth during the show for more information.".

How will the pre-orders to Walgreen's work? No idea. But I'm all ears.

The "Class of 1984" has a few characters from later years, but you gotta pad out the whole 30 figures concept. It's $60 and is actually a great deal if you don't already have most of these - newcomers will love the selection, and packaging fans are going to dig the presentation. And finally, eBay has a complete G2 Stunticons set. As far as I know this is the first time a Motormaster has been seen with his accessories and stickers - so it's kind of a big find. At press time it's over $10,000.
