Over at Facebook, you should read a new MOTUC update from Toy Guru with pricing at ETA updates. The long and short of it? Thunder Punch He-Man and the Star Sisters are delayed, a few others are as well. Also, it looks like non-subscribers will be paying a 10% premium while production runs have decreased. Well, at least you know, right?

Since late November Target has had these 2-packs, but now Wal-Mart has Transformers Dark of the Moon Bonus Packs for about ten bucks. Target's focus on earlier waves, while Wal-Mart has figures as recent as Cyberfire Bumblebee and Specialist Ratchet-- which, let's face it, is better than full price.

We have spotted Darksteel and Air Raid at Kohl's, but so far, not really a lot of other places. They're "on sale" for $13.99, which is actually a few dollars off from regular price. (They aren't scalping-- Target, Toys R Us, and the like are toy discounters, KB Toys and the rest were generally charing close to SRP or a reasonable markup. We're just used to "discount" being "normal" now.)

The long-awaited G.I. Joe Zombie Viper has been sighted, so says a report on HISSTank. And to think, I was just whining that Hasbro didn't release anything new in like a month and change! Good hunting during this, the most foul shopping season of the year.

Last July's exclusive wave of Target Transformers deluxe toys may be marked down at a store near you. Space Case (pictured), Bumblebee, Arcee, and Jazz were all made with clear plastic bits and given an exclusive comic book. Each figure is now 30%-50% off, depending on your store, and in some cases the stores put the discount stickers on other, neighboring lines which are not on sale. So fair warning there.

In my area, some stores put out new stock for the sale-- so if you haven't seen Space Case for months, now is your chance. (I reviewed him a few months ago, so do read that.)

Breaking form with the comedy world (and doing a fine job), Louis C.K. Live at the Beacon Theater has been released as a direct download. The 63-minute comedy special is available as a stream or as an MP4 for $5 and after having watched it last night, it's (obviously) very funny. To further comment on it would be to do you a disservice-- if you're familiar with C.K.'s large body of work and amazing DIY work ethic, you're going to love watching him put on this special which he masterminded and edited with three popsicle sticks and a few cameras. It's amazing. No, this isn't an ad, but it was totally worth checking out. The special will not be airing on cable or released on DVD, and his site's marketing copy for this special is some of the best I've seen this side of Chunklet.

"No DRM, no regional restrictions, no crap. You can download this file, play it as much as you like, burn it to a DVD, whatever."

Nicely done.

Matty Collector posted its December 15 sale list! That's the good news. The bad news is that the Demo-Man shipment was delayed and will be shipping in early January.

Numerous new LEGO sets are hitting! Ninjago boosters and more are showing up, as well as new Hero Factory (now in foil bags) and other strange new frontiers in retail packaging. Even LEGO's online shop has new stuff!

We are also getting reports of LEGO Batman/DC sets hitting retail, so if you didn't overpay for the old ones on eBay this may be a good time to actually get a few at a fair retail price.

LEGO is for girls now! The long-rumored next attempt is up at Businessweek with Lego Is For Girls! The new line is "Lego Friends" and has a redesigned take on the figure. The Brick Blogger has more set pictures.

Now that movie-based Lord of the Rings toys are old enough to be arguably "retro," LEGO announced they will be making LOTR and Hobbit toys in 2012. Cynical me thinks this is just a grab to do more LEGO video games-- as there may be more money in those than the actual toys-- but I suppose we'll know more come Toy Fair in February!

After many weeks of many votes, the Winner of the He-Man.org Official Fan Figure Choice Poll is Illumina and you've never heard of her. She never actually appeared in a story, but was advertised in some latter-day comics as an upcoming character and apparently the fans friggin' love her.

She'll be coming in 2013, along with another character selected by German fans which is still (as far as I know) to be releaved.

It's gone! The Onell Design Outlandish Mini Figure Guys have sold out. This is the first release of the figures-- another shade of blue is coming, as are a yellow, a green, and others as outlined here.

The supporter edition figures should be shipping early next year.

Diamond Select Toys sent some press shots of new Knight Rider, Pirates, and Alice Madness Returns! These new action figures, vehicles, and Minimates are all due between January and next summer-- quite the range, that.

Do check them out! The pirate boat in particular is loaded with toy features, which is something we really do need to see much more of these days.

Previously, Monsters were part of the movie studio line in the early 2000s and, of course, the blind-bagged minifigures over the past few years. Exciting, eh? unless this was a mean, mean hoax, BotCon 2012 has announced its theme and boxed set and it's more Shattered Glass. Ultra Magnus and Soundwave are pictured, with "evil" universe versions of Tracks and Treadshot joined by "classics" Overlord and Metalhawk! Well, I'm quite interested.

The story is that the Shattered Glass Universe jumps into Classics. What does this mean for you? Interesting toys.

Target stores are getting new ThunderCats figures right now, including the classic 6-inch Mumm-Ra and Lion-O which we reported on earlier! These are in classic-ish boxes and may be confused for their existing 8-inch line at first glance. Were it not for Mumm-Ra, I'd have not immediately noticed them.

Target also has a new "Eye of Thundera" boxed set with several characters from the show, which seems like a good place to start collecting. The 4-inch scale figures include Mumm-Ra, Tygra, Snarf, and Lion-O. As far as I can tell, Snarf is the selling point here, and some of the other figures are missing a key accessory or two. The set is $29, which is... well, arguably OK.

It's here! Almost. Supporters of the OMFG Kickstarter Project have received notices asking where to send their figures. They are reportedly in customs and this is the prep time, so you may very well see these little buggers in the next month! How great is that?

No word on the other exclusive colors' availability, but odds are it will be very soon.

The reveal begins! Botcon posted Botcon Exclusive Overlord's alt and robot modes! There's also an overlong video which delivers a quick glimpse at the full toy, revealing it to be a repainted Revenge of the Fallen Bludgeon.

Who's next? No idea. Just so they can drag things out, I'd wager Soundwave and Ultra Magnus.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Dragon Quest series, Japan is getting a swell Dragon Quest 25th Anniversary Map Diorama Collection! It's a series of trading figures which, when combined, form a giant map of the overworld of the original game... something I don't believe has ever been attempted. It is beautiful, and should be coming from Square-Enix.

Jakks Pacific has announced word of S.L.U.G. Zombies (Scary Little Ugly Guys) via Diamond and Entertainment Earth! These are solid green minifigures in 3- and 12-packs, basically little zombies in the style of M.U.S.C.L.E. and Monster in my Pocket. They're due to show up in the next couple of months, and at least six waves are planned. Presumably we'll see more at Toy Fair if they aren't on-shelf by then.
