OpenGarden gaining traction?

Just saw an article about OpenGarden on Wired, via @shalunov.

I had blogged about OpenGarden a few times earlier; see links below.

I found the concepts behind OpenGarden interesting. It can help speed your Internet experience via mutual sharing of wireless Internet connections. There have been other such initiatives, but this one seems somewhat different because it allows anyone (within range) to share with anyone else.

I had blogged about OpenGarden sometime  earlier. Interesting concept. Their CTO, Stanislav Shalunov, was earlier Director of Engineering at BitTorrent, and before that had done some interesting Internet2 infrastructure work.
