I want to take a bit of a risk with you this week and talk about astrology.

Not the version many of us grew up with: Mystic Meg, twelve generic horoscopes in the back of a newspaper. No offence Meg, but really? Every Gemini is going to experience this exact same event this week? Even from a young age I could see that this take on the universe (whilst provided by astrologers who knew their charts) was hugely simplistic, commercialised and not credible. Dynamic information flattened into snapshots for fun, with no embodied connection to anything bigger. However, my relationship to astrology - and to spirituality more broadly - has shifted dramatically in recent times.

I’ve always had an underlying sense that there’s something bigger than us. Nothing complicated or doctrinal - just the basic recognition that, you know, the world was here long before us humans! It was created out of something, by something - a greater intelligence. Call it Gaia, call it nature or God - call it creation energy - the term matters less than the recognition itself.

This really opened up for me while training as a coach, when I had to do the deep work of transforming my own limiting beliefs. I started to understand something important: we can only truly expand what we believe is possible for ourselves, others and the world when we connect to something beyond ourselves. Remaining locked inside our rational, logical minds keeps us working within severely restricted parameters. The moment we connect to creation energy - to the act of creating beyond the rational mind - everything opens up.

People are often quick to resist this idea. But look what humans have achieved! Look at our brilliance, our inventions, our art! Yes - but talk to anyone who has truly created something extraordinary, and they always describe it the same way: it came to them. It arrived in a flow state. It was delivered, not constructed. Archimedes in the bath. Paul McCartney waking up with the melody for “Yesterday” in its entirety. We have a habit of crediting ourselves as the sole source of creation, when really, we’re the vessel through which creation moves.

That distinction matters enormously when it comes to transforming your own struggle into a life you desire. Because, ironically, once you stop seeing yourself as the sole engine of your transformation - once you recognise that you can’t think, strategise, and force your way into a better life - the very transformation you desire can finally begin. You free it, and yourself.

And this is where astrology re-entered my life. For the past year or so I’ve been listening to Sabrina Lynn’s Rewilding Weekly podcast, which tracks the planetary energetics shaping the week ahead. This isn’t predictive party tricks, it’s about being consciously attuned to the bigger energetic field we all live within, not just the narrow slice our thinking minds can occasionally grasp. Sabrina is also a brilliant model of leadership: wise, knowledgeable, palpably channelling life-force - and still visibly growing and stretching herself in public. That’s still rare, and it’s powerful to witness.

So where am I going with this? Well, if you want to make a big change in your life - a real one, not just a rearrangement of the same furniture - the work isn’t more information for your mind to process. It isn’t another five-step plan, or another stack of affirmations recited at the bathroom mirror. I see this constantly with the women I work with. The ones who transform most powerfully are the ones willing to expand beyond their own minds and assumptions. The ones willing to let go, step beyond the familiar and connect with the intangible - even when it sets off every alarm bell in their nervous system.

Because it’s true: we resist this kind of expansion out of simple fear. Change is unknown, and our monkey brains are wired to protect us from it. But we don’t need that protection in the way we once did. In fact in most areas of our lives, it’s holding us back big time. The future - for each of us individually, and all of us collectively - lies in connecting beyond this limited, fear-bound way of being, and allowing a greater intelligence than our own to lead the way.

And that’s why a daily practice that reminds you of your connection to something bigger, more powerful and more exciting is key to making the change you wish to experience. Humbling ourselves with the bigger energetics of life and the universe each day makes it much easier to relax into the unknown. And honestly? Once I fully engaged with the truth that I do not have control over life, once I began working with creation and engaging with all the good stuff it brings me so long as I just get out of its way - peace and joy became central to my existence.

So ultimately, simply know that the change you yearn for is bigger than you. Not because you’re small - but because you are part of a much bigger field that’s here to help. Your best life was never meant to be engineered by your logical mind alone, sitting up at night trying to plan your way into a different life. That’s just the frail human ego trying to run a show that’s way beyond her pay-grade.

That yearning you feel - the sense that there’s more than this - is not a problem to be managed or a fantasy to talk yourself out of. It is the bridge to creation energy itself, already moving through you, already showing you the way.

Your task isn’t to figure it all out by yourself. Your task is to stop squashing that yearning with your logic and your control - and instead have the faith to connect with it and let it lead the way.

So, ask yourself: where might MY bridge to this connection lie….?

If you’d like a gentle and relaxing way into that connection between your (over)thinking mind and your intuition - where creation energy speaks to us most directly - why not check out my FREE 15 minute visioning visualisation?

It’s a soothing guided exercise that gets you into a state of connection with what you really want and who you really want to become - rather than ideas your socialised mind wants to enforce and which leave you feeling uninspired or overwhelmed.

Scroll down for more information, but if that already appeals - hit reply with “Visioning Please” - and let’s get you connected.

If this week’s newsletter has piqued your interest in shifting how you think about change, but perhaps it feels a bit too esoteric, then I’ve got the book for you.

I came across Joseph Nguyen’s best seller Don’t Believe Everything You Think in passing recently - though I’ve been aware of it for years - and something made me give it a go.

I’m so glad I did because it PERFECTLY complemented my recent decision to add a short meditation to my morning breath work practice. I’ve done a fair bit of meditation in recent years - and was helped by the super-practical guidance from the Headspace app. But I’ve still felt a bit uncertain about what to ‘do’ with incoming thoughts and my wandering mind. Nguyen’s book is a great way to understanding the thinking mind, and how it relates to and undermines our more reliable thoughts. Just understanding the difference was kind of mind blowing!

So whatever your experience of meditation, personal development, inner work - whatever, I guarantee this book will give you the foundations for quietening the mind and opening up beyond our logical limitations - and to start doing that in the midst of the chaos that is often our daily life.

Hit reply - and get the link!

And with that in mind, this exercise is a great way to explore everything I’ve written about in this week’s newsletter.

This visualisation is a great way to experience the many ways our mind can often get in the way, and the choice we do have to listen to quieter voices within us: the ones that speak from a place of deeper knowing, rather than fear.

I recorded this visualisation specifically because I noticed, both in my own life and in my work with women, that the hardest part of moving forward isn’t lack of strategy or information.

It’s being able to connect to what we genuinely want.

Not what makes sense. Not what we should want given everything we’ve already built. But what’s truly calling to us, underneath all the noise of practicality, other people’s expectations - and our fear.

Because that disconnection? It doesn’t come from nowhere. It’s the entirely predictable result of the lives we’ve lived - decades of adapting, accommodating, dialling down our instincts to survive and succeed in structures that weren’t built with us in mind.

By midlife, many of us have become strangers to our own deepest desires.

That’s why I’ve recorded a guided visualisation - one of the simplest and most powerful tools I’ve found for bypassing the thinking mind and reconnecting with what’s actually true for you.

I’ve used it in workshops, and I’ve watched women shift in real time. One woman arrived panicking about her future and left, in her own words, feeling “on fire” about what was next - not because she had a plan, but because she’d finally given herself permission to feel into what she truly wanted, without immediately deciding whether it was ‘realistic’.

That shift - from fear and stuckness to genuine aliveness about your future - is available to YOU too.

Right now.

It takes just 15 minutes. All you need is a quiet space and a willingness to let yourself dream a little and let go. And it’s completely free.

If you’d like the link, just hit reply and say “Visioning Please” and I’ll send it straight to you.

Maybe set aside a little time this weekend, press play, and see where it takes you.

You might surprise yourself

(ps - the offer’s open to everyone, not just women)

That’s it for now - keep on reaching for your best self, and reaching out to those who might help you.

Because Drama belongs in the movies, not in your life.

Until next time,

Wendy
