Trying to get God to take me to the Waffle House

the tree of heaven is an invasive species

it’s ok if I have to go looking for you sometimes

I wanted to be confused a little longer

the scar it left made you attractive

childhood etched streets under your tongue

...flowers asleep in your mind are going to wake up today and smile

his father and his father and his father in waves

for the kids who lost their ball under television clouds

you have to kill the pain of being somehow
