Alexander Pedals releases new limited run Stereo Micro Detuner for the August 8th Midwest Pedalfest

Alexander Pedals released a limited-run Stereo Micro Detuner for the August 8th Midwest Pedalfest. It uses the Leap Series DSP engine, combining shimmery detune-style chorus with ambient medium Hall Reverb. Controls include Tune, Dry > Wet Mix, Size, Pan, Wide and Osc.

The Tune range is unspecified; typical micro-detuners cover 2–15 cents, with some reaching ±50 cents. Originally made for the fest, remaining stock is available from the Alexander Pedals Webstore while stocks last. As of August 8th, the price was $199. No demo video was available, though Alexander hoped to release one.

This uses the same DSP engine as Alexander’s other Leap Series pedals, while it looks quite different. It’s a really cool detour from Alexander’s usual fare - and delivers a shimmery detune style chorus underlaid by an ambient medium Hall Reverb.

As mentioned - it was originally made for the Midwest Pedalfest, so I guess we’re talking about remaining stock here really - which didn’t sell through at the fest!

Controls - Tune (±Cents), Dry > Wet Mix, Size : Reverb Decay / Depth, Pan : Stereo Tremolo Pan, Wide : Stereo Width, Osc : Swirling Pitch Modulation.

Oddly we don’t get reference to how many ±Cents the Tune control covers. As a full semitone is 100 cents, Micro-detuners tend to typically cover 2 to 15 cents, while some range as much as ±50 cents.

This is a really cool pedal, while I’m already covered for similar functionality, so it’s more of a nice-to-have than must-have for me.

This is a limited run at $199 a pop - available from the Alexander Pedals Webstore while stocks last. It doesn’t say how many pedals were made, or are still available. But these will surely be very limited and only around for a short time!

Alas there doesn’t seem to be a demo video yet either - seems like a lot of pedals I’m covering these days are limited small batch runs without demos. Alexander seems to state on Insta that there should hopefully be a video soon, but so many of these small batch releases end up without demos - strange times!

I will add in the demo - if and as soon as it materialises. Otherwise just imagine a Shimmery Chorus combined with Hall Reverb!
