Pedal Pawn builds an even better Tube Screamer - the Black Glass Mod Overdrive Pro TS-808

Pedal Pawn’s Black Glass Mod Overdrive Pro TS-808 is its third Tube Screamer variant, following the Texan Twang and Cowboy King. It keeps the original TS808’s control topology while re-engineering the output for a glassier, more open, dynamic profile, improved guitar-volume clean-up, clarity and more tube-like overdrive.

The pedal has a Black Glass exterior and faceplate, true bypass switching, 2.1mm centre-negative DC input and soft diffused blue LED. It was available for pre-order from the Pedal Pawn Webstore at £287, with an 8–12-week made-to-order production cycle.

Pedal Pawn has some serious pedigree with Tube Screamers - you might say they’re something of a Tube Screamer expert! And this is essentially their 3rd variant, following the Texan Twang, and the Cowboy King.

The control topology is the same - while the output is entirely re-engineered - for a better balanced more glassy and open sounding profile.

It’s a cool project for sure with a very high quality of fit and finish.
