I first spotted this on Gear News - where it turns out just to be an announcement, as these don’t start shipping until the middle of October. They are however already up for pre-orders on Thomann!
And indeed already listed on Nobels.de site - just below the ODR-1X.
Controls - Size (Decay), Dry > Wet Blend, Tone, Mode : Spring / Plate / Hall, Hold Footswitch for Freeze / Shimmer.
This series has really set a new standard for Mini Pedals - all 5 now are excellent - the original ODR-mini 4-knob Nashville Overdrive, DEL-mini Stereo Delay, CHO-mini Stereo Chorus/Flanger, MOD-mini Stereo Modulator, and now REV-mini Stereo Reverb.
The aesthetics, functionality and output are just perfect here - and probably the first choice for those pedal types for when setting up a mini board - or else having limited space to accommodate a particular class of effect. I believe these are made in collaboration with NUX, who was the first to originate TRS Stereo Mini Pedals in this same form factor. While each brand has slightly different algorithms, and the Nobels ones have significantly more aesthetic appeal!
The Stereo one are consistently €99 / $99 / £85, and the ODR-mini is at €77 / $79 / £69 - which makes for very good value.
If you’re in the market for mini pedals - then surely these Nobels ones should be top on your list of candidates - especially those stereo variants - which are very impressive.
These haven’t been a major focus for me yet, but I will at some stage look to collect them all. As most of you know - this kind of thing is mostly based on opportunism for me - so I need some kind of discount deal here - for this to be a worthy exercise for me.
All of these are most commendable. I don’t feel there’s anything that warrant any criticism - for Mini Pedals - these are about as good as the going gets!
There’s no demo for the REV-mini yet - I will add that when it materialises!
