Hello from Brooklyn!
I have now published ten Fleet Obscura emails.
So far, I have written about spacecraft, warning labels, imaginary engineering, communication delays, industrial design and some of the practical problems involved in building a fictional future that almost makes sense.
Ten emails feels like a good moment to ask what you have found most interesting, and what you would like to see more of.
Fleet Obscura is continuing to grow. Alongside these illustrated essays, I’m developing short fiction—coming very soon—along with new ships, artwork and a much wider history for the universe. I have plenty of ideas about where to go next, but I’d genuinely like to know which parts interest you. The two questions below should take less than a minute to answer, so please do!
You can also reply directly to this email with any thoughts, suggestions or subjects you would like me to explore. I read every response!
Thank you for following Fleet Obscura through its first ten emails—and for helping me decide what to build next.
Jim
