I once called him 'the best man I’ve ever known.' Eleven months later, I ran into him on the street and realised he's just a man.

PSA for the girls who fantasise about running into their ex: it never goes how you imagined.

Running into an ex is a wet dream we’ve all had. Or it’s your nightmare fuel. Either way, you’ve rehearsed the conversation in your head a million times in the shower.

And then one day you’re standing in front of him and you’re both off script.

I’ve got to say that Mr Man is the third ex I’ve run into over the past year.

And ever since, I’d wondered how it would be when I finally ran into him.

But it was… anticlimactic.

I don’t know what I expected to happen the day we ran into each other. This isn’t a movie. He wasn’t just going to walk right into me in the middle of the street.

No, darling. He pulled up right next to me on a fucking Lime bike.

I wish I was fucking joking.
