Deep Saros (DeepSaros),
an UCI compliant chess engine by Roberto Munter derived from the Ippolit series of programs, mainly from IvanHoe 1. Deep Saros is further based on Igorrit, and as noted by its author, incorporates own ideas as well as ideas from Glaurung, Fruit and others 2. The engine supports a parallel search and was forerunner of the commercial Vitruvius.
