A former research assistant of Nero. After her murder and revival that took place during The Starless Town's events, she's now sharing the same body as Cairn.

Despite her relatively blunt, nonchalant, and overall tough exterior—deep inside, she's constantly fearful about others. So easily scared and intimidated that she builds a wall of thorns around her true self.
Before her death, she was a meek pacifist who couldn't bring herself to even be as snarky as her post-death self.

During Starless Town events
"What even happened to Cairn? They're... awfully secretive. Not to mention their reckless antics. I don't know if I've made the right choice bringing them back to life."
"Stop trying to get yourself killed so much. Do you want me to die too?"
Despite the fact one of them brought each other to life, and they're now possessing the same body—at their core, they're still strangers who keep their own darker sides and memories away from the other. Strangers who have yet to learn about each other's lives.
A good part of their dynamic is "Now that they're very vulnerable around the other, they could've easily hurt/exploit/manipulate the other, but they didn't. They didn't want to."
Their relationship started off as a distant, yet respectful one. Despite being bounded together by circumstances, and being willing to risk themself the other, they'd keep each other at least an arm away from their true self. Too fearful to expose their own vulnerability around the other, and too fearful to ruin their partnership.
Despite claiming that she brought Cairn back for her relatively self-centered revenge, she did want them to live. If Cairn were to refuse to help with her quest, then she would understand. She could just let them live their new life, while she remained in her grave. But no, Cairn actually did want to help her out.
Just how long would she be able to keep her true objective hidden from Cairn?
Post-Starless Town events
If you see those drawings of me drawing Cairn and Nydia being lovey dovey or intimate, it likely takes place after the whole Starless Town situation.
Nero
"Keep rambling about improving the lives of wizards in this town with the magic from the stars, or whatever. I know you're not using those stars for them... It's your obsession with that abyss, isn't it?"
Nero is the older brother, while Nydia is the younger sister. Since Nero killed Nydia, and Nydia mentioned a thing or two about revenge, you can probably guess their relationship was rocky.

- nydia doesn't really wear wizard hat often. it's more of "an accessory she'd put on during formal events"
- doesn't suffer from any physical drawbacks from her magic, compared to cairn.
