Andrea Frey · Fiat Wellness Weekly

I gave up scrolling Facebook for Lent (except on my birthday, I love reading all the birthday love!), so I decided to revamp the newsletter here on Substack!

So much has been happening around here, it’s hard to even decide where to start this update for you. The “short” version is that for the past several months, I’ve been knee-deep in training to become a certified health coach, and I just got my certification!

There’s a lot more to do before I start taking on clients, but I’ve officially created my health coaching business, Fiat Wellness LLC, and you can follow my journey with that here and on Instagram (https://instagram.com/fiatwellness.co).

I’ve always had a passion for helping others, and after I started my own weight loss and wellness journey last fall, I felt God was calling me to share that with others outside of practicing traditional medicine as a PA. I couldn’t be more excited to share this transition and journey with you!

Almost eight years ago now, right around the time I had my first baby, I created a blog called Sparkle With Grace. My intention was to write about faith, holistic wellness, and motherhood.

I did for a while, but at that time, blog strategy was a big thing, and I started following experts who told me I couldn’t write about all 3 of those things. I had to pick just one. So I tried that… and got bored. Then I changed to a new topic… and got frustrated.

I wanted to start writing a blog to connect with other like-minded moms of faith who wanted encouragement, inspiration, and connection, but I ended up basically chasing my tail writing for the “SEO algorithm” and connecting with approximately zero real humans. So I gave it up.

But the original name still resonates so much with me!

I originally chose the name “Sparkle With Grace” because I was striving to live a life filled with grace and I wanted that to shine through in everything I did. (And I still feel that way today!) To quote St. Augustine, “Nothing… can be accomplished without grace.”

As I was telling a friend today that I wanted to rename my Substack Sparkle With Grace and write about faith, holistic wellness, and motherhood, I had to laugh because I realized that’s literally what I set out to do in the very beginning, but I got distracted by all the things in the blogging world. I feel like God’s laughing too, because He knew all along that I’d end up back where He wanted me eventually.

So here I am, back at the “beginning,” but I’m thankful for all the twists and turns along the way. I truly believe that each distraction served as a learning point, and each new experience shaped how I can show up today as a writer and as a wellness coach.

And I’d love to have you along for the journey too! All are welcome, but if you’re a Catholic millennial mom especially, you’re gonna love it here! Stay tuned as I discover a new posting cadence and style to deliver inspiring and helpful faith and wellness inspirations with you. Make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss a thing!

xoxo,

Andrea
