If you’ve been around for a while, you probably forgot you were even on this newsletter, but guess what?! I’m bringing it back! And if you just joined me here, WELCOME!
This newsletter is your go-to resource for all things coffee, faith, and holistic living.
I promised you some wellness tips, and I’ll get to those soon. But first, I wanted to give you some life updates!
It’s been a crazy few months. The kids started school, I went back to working (almost) full-time as a Physician Associate (PA), and I closed my copywriting membership. I’m still a copywriter, but I’m only taking 1:1 clients now to free up my schedule a bit more.
After everything I’ve been through, I realized that I needed to cut back on my extra commitments, and I’ve been using the time to refocus on my own health and wellness too.
And now, I’m bringing you into my wellness journey, because I’m finally feeling physically better, so I figured I would share what’s been working for me with you.
Here are 3 things I’ve started doing on a regular basis that really have made a big impact on my wellbeing!
Pray daily. This is something I always mean to do, but I’ve had a hard time adding it to the priority list as I’ve struggled through grief and loss. I’m trying to keep it simple and using the Hallow app has really helped with that! (That’s my referral code, I have no idea if I get anything or not if you use it but feel free to use it if you want to!)
I’m trying to let go of my perfectionist, all-or-nothing mentality where I give up on something if I can’t do it perfectly. God wants us to have a relationship with Him, not be perfect.
Stop drinking sugar. You all know I love my lattes, but cutting out sugar in the morning has made a huge impact on my health! I’ve stopped using sugar sweeteners and even my sugar-free ones because I’m also trying to reduce the amount of chemicals I’m putting in my body. My morning coffee right now just has MCT oil powder (affiliate link) in it and sometimes vanilla or maple extract for a little flavor. My sugar cravings have gone away, and I can actually enjoy coffee without all the fluff again!
Pick up an old hobby. My daughter and I went to the Gilmore Girls weekend in Brighton, MI in September, and we signed up for the Knit-A-Thon. I forgot how much I liked to knit until then! It’s been fun to pick it up again and honestly also to help me stop doom scrolling in the evenings!
Let me know what you’ve done lately for your wellness or if you plan to try any of these tips!
That’s it for now, I’m excited to be back in your inbox again. Take a scroll below for more inspiration and some of my favorites!
xoxo,
Andrea
Just a heads up, some of the links below may be affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission on them if you decide to make a purchase. If it’s an Amazon link, don’t worry… I’ll probably only make two pennies this year, so that’s not at all why I’m sharing them! But I’d also be honored if you choose to use any of my links. You can read my full disclosure policy here.
I shared it above in wellness tip #2, but for consistency’s sake I didn’t want to delete this section! Scroll up for my wellness coffee tip and a video of me prepping it.
I also really like to read the same verse in other translations to explore it even further, but this one reads exactly the same way in my Catholic bible.
This verse really hit me, especially as I’ve been on this wellness journey. Of course He knew I needed to improve my health even before I was ready to admit it!
Oh my gosh, I’ve read so much since we last chatted! My favorite fiction series that I’ve been binging all fall is the Countess of Harleigh Mysteries. They are light-hearted, clean murder mystery books, and I breezed through them all. I’m waiting on the forever-long library list for the most recent one now!
Spoiler alert, self-promo ahead… but I’m obsessed with my latest dot-grid notebook! I use these as prayer journals and to-do list keepers, or to jot down random thoughts throughout the day. I keep it in my purse, and I made a bunch of different styles! You can grab one on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3NirnDC
