This one thing will matter after AI

What I believe: In the age of AI and infinite access to knowledge, the best education businesses will win on accountability and implementation support.

Yesterday, while working on the offer for an education business, I had a eureka moment:

The best tutors, creators, and educators in the age of AI will not be the ones who simply teach or provide the most useful and specific information. It is unlikely that most people will do that better than AI anyway. They will be the ones who build implementation support around their offers, courses, and programs.

Why?

As information and education become cheaper and easier to access, entertainment becomes even cheaper and more available. That makes implementation harder.

The big question: How can I build systems into my courses and programs that make implementation unavoidable for the people who join?

The new value in education offers will be things like daily check-ins, live execution sessions, progress tracking, enforced deadlines, and support systems that make sure the knowledge is actually used.

How to use this: If you want to build a very successful education or information business after AI, you will have to learn how to create accountability systems that aid the implementation of what you teach.

It will not be enough to say, “I’m very good at explaining maths,” “I’m an expert Arabic tutor,” or “I teach the most specific kind of marketing for this niche.” ChatGPT already does these things, and it will likely do them even better in the future.

What will matter more is this: “The accountability system in this programme is so strong that even if you are addicted to social media before joining, we will make sure you finish your JAMB syllabus and get the result you came for.”

There will be more and more people who need that.

P.s. If you do not believe me, search for current job openings for “student support” and “student mentor” roles. That is exactly what I did to test this hypothesis. The big education brands are realising this.
