This week can feel a little bit strange.
Normal routines are gone, time feels blurry, and your mind might be a bit louder than usual. That’s not a sign you’re doing anything wrong, it’s just what can happen when your usual structure drops away.
A small reminder that might help:
You don’t need to use this time well.
You don’t need to reflect, reset, or plan for the year ahead. And you don’t need to feel bad if rest isn’t possible right now.
Everyone is in a different place.
You might be working right through Christmas in A&E.
You might have two full weeks off and feel unsure what to do with them.
You might be somewhere warm on holiday.
None of those situations require you to feel a certain way.
If your mind is searching for certainty or answers, see if you can gently tell yourself:
Nothing important needs deciding this week.
From both of us, we’re wishing you a kind, pressure-free end to the year - and a start to the next one that meets you where you are.
Best wishes for this festive season, from our family to yours,
Louise & Mark.
