The external walls and roofs of new homes being built in West Kirby are being constructed off site, cutting the time taken to complete the development.

Sandbank Point on Banks Road will feature a mix of two and three bedroom properties for private and social rent. Read more.

BT has submitted plans to remove a telephone kiosk in Hoylake and replace it with a new hi-tech ‘street hub’.

Street hubs are digital replacements for traditional phone boxes and offer free ultrafast Wi-Fi, free national landline calls, device charging, and a dedicated 999 emergency button and also feature advertising displays. Read more.

Hoylake RNLI is inviting the public to enjoy an evening of music and entertainment at its lifeboat station on Saturday 27 June.

They are hosting a special performance by Caldy Rugby Club’s Off Pitch Choir. Read more.

West Kirby Farmers Market takes place on Saturday 27 June at a new location - Westbourne Hall on West Kirby.

Proudly run by community volunteers, it supports small local food producers and brings fresh, local produce to the heart of our community.

Come and support local growers, bakers, and producers from 9am - 12 midday — every visit makes a difference.

  • We’re into summer fair season at local primary schools - on Saturday 4 July there are fundraisers at West Kirby Primary School on Anglesey Road (11am - 2pm) and St Bridget’s School and Church on Rectory Fields (12:30pm - 4pm).

  • The beauty of the Wirral peninsula is being celebrated at the LAKE gallery in West Kirby. It features new paintings from Andy McFadden, Ronnie Drillsma and Fiona Philipps. The exhibition runs until Saturday 27 June and the gallery is open Thurs – Sat, 10am – 4pm
