A new addition is coming to West Kirby’s burgeoning coffee house scene.
Gather & Graze is to open in the former Sayers unit on Banks Road, offering coffee, breakfasts and lunches as well as a dog menu and takeaway boxes for people visiting the beach. Read more.
One of the biggest and most prestigious amateur championships in the world is taking place at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club in Hoylake this week.
The Amateur Championship features a world-class field with 288 golfers from 41 countries. Read more.

There’s a new permanent location for West Kirby Farmers’ Market from this month. It is switching to Westbourne Hall, starting on Saturday 27 June, from 9am - 12 midday.
We’re into summer fair season at local primary schools - on Saturday 4 July there are fundraisers at West Kirby Primary School on Anglesey Road (11am - 2pm) and St Bridget’s School and Church on Rectory Fields (12:30pm - 4pm).
The beauty of the Wirral peninsula is being celebrated at the LAKE gallery in West Kirby. It features new paintings from Andy McFadden, Ronnie Drillsma and Fiona Philipps. The exhibition runs until Saturday 27 June and the gallery is open Thurs – Sat, 10am – 4pm
