One of my big predictions with all of this AI noise has been that big tech is going to heavily crack down on any "non-human" communication.
I firmly believe that we're only months away from tools like Gmail, Outlook, and LinkedIn requiring a retinal or fingerprint scan just to send a message.
As someone who has spent now 8 years in the cold email "agency" business, this was an alarming realization...
Made much more real by the wise advice of my good friends Charlie Green (author of the incredible "Trusted Advisor") and Victor Cho (former CEO of Evite / CEO of Emovid).
But, we couldn't just sit back...
So our team has been working incredibly hard on a "intelligent prompt" offering for our clients.
One that blends our creative writing/campaign strategy and wacky "divergence" that AI models have a hard time replicating...
But relies on our clients "proof of humanity" to stay unfiltered.
The basic idea is this: we're feeding our client daily "actions" to do on their side, like:
1) "Send this email to this person."
2) "Connect with this person on LinkedIn."
3) "Send this DM to this 1st degree connection."
4) "Put this post on LinkedIn."
5) "Jump in to comment on this person's post."
5) "Send this Sales Navigator message to this person."
It's kind of awesome...because they can edit, tweak, decline, etc. any prompt...
And it's ACTUALLY them.
The results have been kind of fascinating:
1) One marketing agency CEO sent 4 of our prompt emails (coupled with a LinkedIn message)...and got 2 meetings!
Yes...I'll say that again. A 50% response rate. On ice cold emails.
2) Another technology sales leader sent 30 prompted DMs...and got 4 meetings! This was similar copy to what we normally do on cold email, retrofitted to LinkedIn.
3) A third technology CEO is filling his calendar (explosive response rate) with customer interviews. (note: really helps if you're not "selling" something)
4) Our own sales team has been having great luck with prompted audio messages around our ProfileBuddy service.
5) I personally did some Justin Michael “triples” the other day to staffing CEOs (text / email / LinkedIn DM) and got a 100% response rate (3/3). A similar test earlier this year around baseball fans in my ICP yielded (if I'm remembering right) a 3/6 positive response rate.
6) We had a client crack a Fortune 500 CMO using a prompted email. Along with another very senior leader of a second Fortune 500 behemoth.
The results are clear proof: there is something here.
If you're interested in deploying this method on your end, we actually now have the most affordable "lead generating" service we've ever had at Veth Group. (think more like $500/month vs. $5,000/month)
And we're working hard to get our prompt software to integrate into Teams and Slack as soon as possible.
Feel free to book a time on my Calendly if you want to discuss further!
And even if you don't...I think at least take away the fact that 10-50% response rates are now possible going back to the old-school. 1x1. Human to human.
(One last note: if you are an active customer of ANY Veth Group service, this is available 100% free of charge for you...also just shoot me a note and we'll get you going)
