I still get excited when the UPS truck arrives. You would think after all these years, and all these dresses, the sight of a UPS truck pulling up to Velvet Bridal wouldn’t be particularly exciting anymore.
You would be wrong. Because inside one of those giant boxes might be your wedding dress.
Whenever a shipment arrives, there’s an immediate little buzz around the boutique. We start checking labels and calling out names: Whose dress is here?! These aren’t gowns for the racks. They’re the dresses our brides chose months ago, carefully ordered in their size, color, and special details, and we’ve been waiting for them right alongside you.
Then we open the box. There’s something incredibly special about seeing a bride’s gown for the first time, knowing that this isn’t a sample anymore. This one is hers. The dress she’ll actually wear down the aisle. The one that will be in the photographs on her walls someday.
We inspect every detail, make sure everything is exactly as it should be, and then comes one of my favorite little tasks at Velvet Bridal: Sending the text.
Your dress is here. 🤍
I know how exciting it is to receive that message, but here’s a little secret from the other side. We’re excited too.
We’ve been part of this story since the day you walked through our doors, wandered through the gowns, stepped into the fitting room, and eventually found the one. Getting to watch that same dress arrive months later feels like another tiny milestone on the way to your wedding day.
Maybe that’s why the UPS truck still makes us stop what we’re doing. It’s never just another delivery. Somebody’s wedding dress just arrived.
With love, glitter, and tulle,
Alicia
There is something incredibly confident about a wedding dress that doesn’t need to do too much. No layers of embellishment. No competing details. Just a beautiful silhouette, gorgeous fabric, and the kind of tailoring that makes simplicity feel like the statement.
Crafted in luxe satin, Marin pairs a clean square neckline with wide shoulder straps and a beautifully fitted bodice before opening into a classic A-line skirt. The silhouette has that almost magical balance we love in the dressing room: structured enough to feel polished and elevated, but effortless enough that you still feel completely like yourself inside it. And because Marin lets the fabric and construction take center stage, she’s also the kind of gown that gives you endless room to make the final look your own—a dramatic veil, statement earrings, colorful florals, or absolutely nothing extra.
Then you turn around.
A softly scooped back gives way to a seemingly endless row of fabric-covered buttons trailing all the way down her cathedral-length train. It’s understated drama at its absolute best—the kind of detail your guests notice as you walk down the aisle and your photographer will absolutely obsess over.
And because we saved one very important detail for last: she has pockets.
Marin is modern minimalism without feeling stark, classic bridal without feeling expected, and proof that sometimes the simplest dress in the room is the one nobody can stop looking at.

“They helped me feel confident, respected my privacy, and guided me to styles that looked great on me. Super nice team!”

Please bring your Pinterest board to your bridal appointment. Seriously. We want to see it.
Your saved gowns tell us so much about what catches your eye. Maybe we notice that almost every dress has a basque waist, even though you’ve never heard the term before. Maybe there’s lace everywhere. Maybe you’ve saved twenty completely different gowns, but every single one has the same romantic, effortless feeling.
Those patterns are incredibly helpful.
But here’s the important part: Pinterest gives us clues, not instructions.
You don’t need to walk into your appointment determined to find the exact gown you’ve saved 47 times.
Because Pinterest can’t show you how a fabric will feel when you move in it. It can’t tell you which neckline will make you stand a little taller when you see yourself in the mirror. It doesn’t know your personality, how you want to feel beside your partner, or which completely unexpected gown might suddenly make the whole wedding feel real.
That’s where the dressing room comes in.
Use Pinterest to show us the world you’re imagining, then give yourself permission to explore once you’re here. Try the wildcard. Touch the fabrics. Notice what keeps surprising you. Let yourself change your mind.
Sometimes you’ll leave with exactly the dress you imagined.
And sometimes you’ll leave laughing because you bought the gown you swore you definitely didn’t want.
Both are perfect outcomes.
Your Pinterest board helps us understand your vision.
But you get to decide what it looks like when it becomes real.
