WASHINGTON — After a heated, widely panned exchange with Dana Bash on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced that the only journalist allowed to interview him going forward would be himself.
In a series of posts on X, the official HHS account said “the fake news media” wants to “twist and distort” statements Kennedy has made, in an effort to “force Americans to deny the truth around COVID by asking distracting DEI questions about what HHS should be doing day to day to make sure we don’t have another pandemic.”
“Dana Bash thinks she’s so much smarter than me just because she doesn’t pretend to be a medical expert,” Kennedy wrote on his personal X account. “Well, I’ll show her and all those jerks who think they’re smarter than me and probably think I smell like spoiled milk, which I don’t.”
“That’s just a vicious Fauci rumor that isn’t real, like the fake news cyclospora outbreak,” he added.
The move was met with criticism among journalists not named RFK Jr. Several followers questioned the decision, noting that RFK Jr. has no journalism experience. RFK Jr. responded that “not having any experience in a professional field hasn’t stopped me from being HHS secretary.”
RFK Jr. plans to interview RFK Jr. on RFK Jr.‘s new cooking show and podcast, “My Favorite Raccoon Murder,” to discuss how “vaccines really do cause autism, despite what the smug bitch Dana says,” “I know what I am talking about, Dana can’t break my precious ego,” and “mothers are a boy’s best friend.”
Per initial reporting, however, RFK Jr. will be banning RFK Jr. from future interviews after RFK Jr. asked RFK Jr. “too hard-hitting” questions about how RFK Jr. was improving HHS.
