Staksrode Skov 🌳
Staksrode Skov isa rugged forest near Vejle Fjord with coastal views and tall beech trees. It’s a perfect place for shinrin-yoku (forest bathing).
The day we visited Staksrode Skov was super windy. We began our hike by walking along the sea, where the trail followed the edge of a small cliff. From there, the path turned inland and brought us deep into the forest. On our way, we passed a fireplace and shelter — probably bookable if you plan a longer stay. We followed the red trail, but there are also longer hikes in the area if you’re up for it.
Let me tell you about our little adventure: it was so windy that our Trangia cooker wouldn’t start, and it looked like we’d be going home cold and hungry. Brrr… Luckily, a kind stranger lent us a lighter, and our warm meal and tea were saved. 🫶
Honestly, the whole place felt so peaceful and remote. We only crossed paths with a few other nature lovers the entire time. If you’re looking for quiet, this is the spot for you. 💚
🍽️ Recipe of the week
Berliner Donuts 🍩
It’s going to be raining all weekend here in Denmark… A great time to cook something cozy and warm. These Berliner Donuts are so incredibly fluffy, golden, and not too tricky to make. Fill them with jam and enjoy!
