From star-filled skies to the first chorus of birds welcoming the dawn, the South Downs put on a truly spectacular show. Together, we experienced the changing colours of the landscape, shared stories along the way, and celebrated one of the year’s most magical moments.
A special thank you goes to all our partners, volunteers and supporters who helped make the event possible. In particular, we’re incredibly grateful to Queen Elizabeth Country Park and Churcher’s College for their support, enthusiasm and collaboration.

We’ve got some fantastic courses coming up in July and September, focusing on wellbeing and land management. However, our popular meadow and garden management courses have now sold out. Prepare for an evening of outdoor theatre with a twist as The HandleBards bring their riotously funny take on Shakespeare’s Macbeth to the Sustainability Centre this August.
Forget the doom and gloom of the Scottish Play. This high-energy production is packed with mishaps, mayhem and plenty of laughter. The story may be familiar: three witches prophesy that Macbeth will become king, and he and Lady Macbeth decide to speed things along with a little regicide, but from there, everything spirals gloriously out of control. Expect bungled plots, ghostly encounters and comedic chaos at every turn.
Suitable for all ages (and apparitions), this unique performance is brought to life by The HandleBards, an intrepid three-person troupe touring the UK by bike or electric van and championing environmentally sustainable Shakespeare along the way.
As this is an outdoor production, please bring a chair or blanket, pack a picnic, and come dressed for whatever the British summer decides to throw at us. Set against the beautiful surroundings of the Sustainability Centre, it’s the perfect way to spend a summer evening.
