I feel like sharing these posts and writing a little about why.
Cedar Jones wrote a tribute to his late father that tugged at my heart strings and genuinely made me tear up. Those of you that know me, know that I still live with the grief (and guilt) of losing my father. Anything that reminds me of it, be it song, picture or well crafted personal essay, will always give me pause.
I’ve long been a Cedar fan. He has a writing style thats leaves you to imagine and rarely forces exposition. It’s the kind of writing that makes me think of wood fires and rocking chairs.

To those of you that don’t spend a lot of time on Substack Notes and might have missed this series, do check out M.A. Knight’s upcoming release of FEVERCHAIN.
I have a genuine appreciation of all things physically published and have already pre-ordered. I just wish the book came with actual chains. Maybe when the economy is better, that will be a possibility.

I did a Google and realized Marion County isn’t anywhere near Australia. I’m plugging this because I like Books and I like Independent Bookstores and I like Walt.
Check out their GoFundMe. Walt isn’t a celebrity, so every little share, donation and comment makes a difference.
