AmericaCoin Replaces Dollar as Official US Currency

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Pursuant to Executive Order 59388, the US Dept. of Treasury announced that the US Dollar, which has been the national currency of the United States for its entire existence and the world’s global reserve currency for the last 50 years, would no longer be legal tender by the end of 2025. Instead, a cryptocurrency created in 2022 known as “AmericaCoin” will be the country’s new currency, pushing it into an era of complete digitization. Explaining the move, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt decried the weaknesses of the US Dollar, such as “its instability caused by a reckless Fed that keeps printing money with abandon.” As a decentralized currency on the blockchain entirely managed and controlled by the US government, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent boasted that “never again will the country be at the whims of foreign interests through debt accrual.” With the announcement, AmericaCoin, which was initially floated at 0.00000384 to the Dollar, has now soared to 1.04, with forex markets fluctuating in extreme turmoil as traders try to make sense of where the global currency economy will move in the coming years. Economic experts have pointed out that it’s not clear whether the President has the statutory authority to replace the national currency without Congressional approval, so the move could get reversed by the federal courts. In response to the frenzy, Sec.
