Yesterday, I received this award on behalf of the Rotary e Club of Global Peacebuilders at our district’s annual awards celebration. We won it because we helped sponsor a group in Madagascar modernize a school’s facilities while also adding peacebuilding to its curriculum.
Madagascar? I hear you ask?
Well, our incoming class president serves in the United States Embassy there, which meant that she couldn’t do what we did and hop in her car and get to the embassy.
So, if I’ve grabbed your curiosity….
We are a Rotary club.
That only meets on line.
That focuses only on peacebuilding.
That is now trying to do peacebuilding on line as well as IRL.

And yes, I’m our club’s membership chair. As well as our district’s new peacebuilding chair (technically, as of Wednesday).
