Oppure:
“È sempre così con me.”

  • No

Continua a cercare!

A presto,
Alice

Over the last few episodes, we’ve been observing different bodily sensations to better understand what they reveal about the way we communicate with ourselves and with others.

Speaking of which, if you’d like to read the previous episode, here it is:

Think about a recent conversation with someone who is important to you, someone whose opinion influences you in one way or another.

During or after that conversation, did you find yourself thinking something like:
“It’s normal that they don’t understand me.”

Or:
“It’s always like this with me.”

  • Yes

  • No

  • I don’t remember

Don’t overthink it. Your first answer is usually the one that matters.

Our brain looks for certainty - we’ve talked about that before.

Thoughts like “This always happens to me” are recurring stories we tell ourselves that reduce uncertainty.

Even the most self-critical explanations can feel reassuring when they confirm what the brain already believes about who we are.

But in doing so, they reinforce the same narrative instead of making room for something new.

Is there a sentence that keeps coming back in your thoughts?

If so, don’t try to push it away. Instead, observe it and make a note of:

When did it appear? What was happening? What were you talking about?

How does it affect the way you speak or behave?

If you would like to share what you noticed, leave a comment below or, if you prefer to do it privately, write to me at alice.siracusano@luz.it and include the word STORY in the subject line, so I’ll understand which episode you’re referring to.

In the next newsletter, we continue the hunt.

👉 In the meantime, if you want further insight, you can find it on my Instagram account.

🧭 Keep looking! The next clue is coming.

Cheers,
Alice
