Fuck ICE

News reports say that SSICE activity has surged all over the Nutmeg State in the last few days, most particularly in the Danbury area. For those of you not familiar with the state:

Danbury is on the state border with New York, and the town of 89,000 has a long history of welcoming immigrants, starting with the Germans and the Irish.

In fact, by 1910, most Danbury residents were from other countries and today, 43 languages are spoken in the school system and some 35% of residents were born in a country other than the U.S.

That is a proud history that continues, so of course Trump’s sniveling little incels would bring their shock gloves and disrupt the place.

Fortunately, the town isn’t taking this lying down. Check out Danbury United for Immigrants. (I just signed up to volunteer and you can, too.)

At least nine people were kidnapped from the Danbury area in Trump’s federal human trafficking program — and that’s just on Thursday. The snivelers sent one man to the hospital after pulling him from his vehicle and kicking him repeatedly in the head.

What. The. Hell. And who are these people who so gleefully hurt others? This study is six years old, but says the prime motivator ( at least for Latinx recruits) to becoming an SS agent is the money. They’re doing this for the money. Do you wonder why the white folks are signing up to separate families and kick people in the head? I don’t. I think I can guess.

No to ICE. No to fascism. No to the raping felon raining his dystopian vision onto a beautiful town. As Conn. Gov. Ned Lamont said in a statement:

“At a convening of governors earlier this year, after the tragic results of ICE’s presence in Minneapolis, President Trump told us he would not be sending ICE into cities that did not ask for the help.

“Let me be clear: Connecticut does not want, nor do we need, the type of presence ICE has had in our state this week. Connecticut has some of the lowest crime rates in the country, thanks to the excellent work our state and local police do to keep violent criminals off our streets. Rounding up people at random to fill a quota does not lower crime. It traumatizes families and communities.”
