Slide down to the Newsworthy section if you want a listing of all the individual athlete vlogs from Red Bull Rampage. There are…a lot.
Here are both links to the livestream for both Red Bull Rampage Women’s (Oct 16) and Men’s (Oct 18) Events. Come back to this e-mail later in the week and hit up these links to watch it live!
It’s wild that there are 100 (and probably way more) notable moments from the history of Red Bull Rampage. Watching this is a solid primer for the week - fun to relive some of these moments, for sure - especially the ones from some of the earlier Rampage events.
I dig the mixed MTB and BMX footage in this video, Christian Regal has been part of a huge wave of legendary BMXers discovering (and bringing a breath of fresh air to) mountain biking. Rowdy riding on multiple wheel sizes here!
This looks like it’s going to be a fun one. I came up in the same era as the Transition crew, so when they say they made a full-length film inspired by the nostalgia of freeride’s origins, I’m there for it. Stay tuned for the full film!
Riding down the trail is hard enough, this takes it to a whole new level. I’m not even sure I could do this on flat ground?
🔥 Red Bull Rampage is happening this week, here are links to all the athlete vlogs I could find: Cam Zink, Carson Storch, Tom Van Steenbergen, Casey Brown, Hannah Bergemann, Robin Goomes, Tom Isted, Godziek Brothers, Harriet Burbidge-Smith (Haz), Reed Boggs, Dylan Stark, Kirsten Van Horne and Luke Whitlock.
🏁 That’s a wrap on World Cup downhill for the season - check out the Women’s Elite race highlights and Men’s Elite race highlights here. No spoilers!
🎥 MTB Film legends Clay Porter and John Reynolds teamed up with Bas van Steenbergen to create this Yard Slalom film. Doesn’t look like the general MTB internet has found this one yet, be early to check it out!

It’s crazy to me that this video has nearly 500,000 views. I think the main reason why is that we approach the skill in a totally different way than most tutorials - uncovering the actual element that makes the trackstand work. I’m working on an updated version of this video, which will hopefully be ready by next week!
The rain has hit the Northwest, where I live, but we’re still sneaking in some rides here and there. I think it might be time to plan a little roadtrip to somewhere with sunshine, sooner than later.
Thanks for reading this week’s newsletter! Hard to believe that the World Cup season is wrapped up, but I hope you’re as excited for Red Bull Rampage as I am. The season isn’t over yet!
If you can read this, you don’t need glasses.
