If you missed any of the Red Bull Rampage event coverage the past few days, hit this link for the women’s event and this one for the men’s event. Spoilers most certainly ahead in this newsletter, for obvious reasons. But we’re going to take a slightly different look at it.

Also, now that the biggest competitions of the year are behind us and the weather is starting to turn…now might be a great time to start practicing some of the skills that you want to have all dialed in for next year. My newest video breaks down the trackstand technique with a totally new approach. Check it out:

Can't Trackstand? Here's Why..

The story of this year for both the men’s and women’s event were all of the new faces lining up in the start gate. After watching both events, these rookies absolutely deserved to be lining up; the future of freeride mountain biking is bright. This video gives you a bit more insight to the riders preparing for their first year of Rampage.

Rookies Of Rampage

Admittedly, I wasn’t following Hayden’s riding that closely prior to this weekend, and I have a feeling that maybe I wasn’t alone. This video is a great way to get caught up on one of the most exciting riders of the next generation, who just had his breakout moment.

Defending champion Robin Goomes takes you behind the scenes of her preparation for the big event - as well as the moments after the event. The real question is: can she three-peat next year?

Sometimes you see a video on Instagram and you just laugh because of how ridiculous it looks. I’ve seen Alejandro (current World Champion) ride in person and I can absolutely confirm that he’s capable of this, it’s not AI or any fancy trick - just insane riding from the best in the world.

I swear this isn't AI

🙌 She Sends Foundation and Strava are giving out grants for $5K to support female off-road cyclists at the top level. If that’s you, fill out this form before October 29th!

👀 You asked, Seth from Berm Peak answered: The most embarrassing MTB questions you’re afraid to ask.

😳 My kids are already asking for this. Thanks Matt Jones for setting the bar extra high for parents of bike riding kids!

😅 Related: If anyone finds an abandoned waterpark like this, please hit me up! This looks too fun.

👉 YT Bikes recently filed for insolvency and the YT Mob program is “paused”, which leaves A LOT of incredible riders in the lurch (including the Women’s DH World Champion, Vali Höll). The good news: Andreas Kolb had an incredible season and has already signed with the Santa Cruz Syndicate for the next two years. Where will everyone else land? Stay tuned..

If you’ve ever struggled to balance your bike in place, it’s probably because you’re trying to balance the bike side to side. In this video, I’ll take you through the skill step-by-step, and more importantly, I’ll give you two drills that will completely unlock the element that you need for trackstands. I think this might be my best trackstand tutorial of all time?

Learn To Trackstand

I’m still processing so much of the Rampage stuff right now, and I’m sure you might be, too. That was a massive weekend of riding with some incredible highs and crushing lows. Healing vibes to the riders who went down hard, always tough to see that happen. Congrats to the riders who had breakout moments, we can’t wait to see what the Rampage Rookies do next! Respect to everyone that put work into that event, on two wheels, shoveling, or capturing it; I know firsthand how much work goes into making it happen.

If you can read this, you don’t need glasses.
