Stockholm Roots takes over Hornstull for the weekend, Namaste Stockholm celebrates its 10th anniversary, and there are plenty of reasons to make the most of the last long summer evenings.

The Korean Cultural Center is opening its very first book café with a relaxed evening of reading, music and Korean tea. There’ll be a live gayageum performance to start the evening, followed by a Collective Reading Lounge where you can bring your own book or pick one from the shelves, with DJ Heo providing the soundtrack. Korean black barley tea will be served throughout the afternoon.

A participatory sound installation simultaneously connecting Stockholm and Prague. Step inside a private booth, answer questions about home, belonging and loneliness, then listen to an anonymous voice message left by someone in the other city, before having the chance to leave your own.
The opening evening also includes a performance by Natálie Košková and Sofiia Sorokina. The programme is in English.

Extend the summer feeling with an evening in the gardens at Rosendal. The outdoor bar and grill stays open late, serving artisan sausages from Gotlands Korvfabrik alongside seasonal accompaniments, garden cocktails and music.

Live music returns to Vintervikens Trädgård for two evenings of established touring artists and exciting newcomers in one of Stockholm’s loveliest summer settings.
Friday’s lineup features Girl Scout, Snuggle (DK) and Barry Steel, followed on Saturday by Elias Rønnenfelt (DK), Esther and Majken. There’ll also be DJs and plenty of festival atmosphere around the garden.

One of Stockholm’s biggest curated second-hand markets returns to Slakthusområdet for a full weekend. Hundreds of sellers will be bringing vintage, second-hand clothing, crafts and other finds, alongside DJs, food and drinks.
Around 10,000 visitors are expected across the weekend, so this is much more of an event than your average loppis.

DJ Sonic Madagascar takes over Debaser for a late-night mix of afrobeats, soca, Latin pop, reggaeton, dancehall and reggae. Expect a very dance-heavy night moving between sounds from Kingston and Lagos to Havana and Port of Spain.

Namaste Stockholm celebrates its 10th anniversary with a huge day dedicated to Indian culture. Start the morning with yoga before the main festival gets underway with live music, dance, Bollywood, art, Indian food and activities for the whole family.
The official inauguration takes place at 12:00, but there’s programming throughout the day and into the evening.
