Gift giving is supposed to be fun, it’s supposed to feel good… the only complicated thing about this should be deciding which color sunglasses to choose from.. it should not be the reason a stranger knows where we sleep at night…

Unfortunately, this is not the case, thanks to Amazon. As of March 25, 2026, Amazon started revealing our addresses to third-party sellers, essentially removing its most important privacy protection from its wishlist feature.

The news broke everywhere, on 404 Media, Lifehacker, and Reader’s Digest… but also within our community. Adult content creators were screaming from the roof tops, raising the alarm on social media. This was not a drill. We knew, down to our core, that we were the most vulnerable and at risk. Let’s be honest, the risk that we were facing was not the same risk someone with a bridal shower wishlist was facing.

In simple terms this means that when a fan buys you a gift from your wishlist, your address runs the risk of being shared with a third-party seller and with the fan as well. This includes tracking updates.

This update caused real life dangers, and it’s happening to creators now. The Daily Mail spoke to an OnlyFans creator who had a fan tracking her location using her Amazon wishlist. The fan went as far as driving around post offices in her area (because she used a PO BOX), waiting to catch her!

I feel this fear in my chest whenever I read stories like this, because I know it could’ve easily been me. I live with my in-laws (different house, same property), and they don’t know in detail what I do for work… the last thing I need is for a fan to show up on our property causing problems… my address is not something that I want attached to a public wishlist that anyone with a few dollars can use to send me something just to track where it goes.. that’s fkn scary!

This is what I mean, when I say, it was structurally built differently. Somebody did the actual engineering work to make this function inside of the a platform we are live on, while keeping our safety a priority.

This is the part that makes gifting feel and work the way it’s supposed to…. a gift is not a transaction, nor does it get attached to any deliverables.

Remember, gift giving is supposed to be easy, it’s supposed to feel good, and it’s supposed to be safe.
