The Dumb Golden Dome.

Like spider wrapping himself up for protection, Donald Trump has concocted an expensive scheme to save himself. It is loosely modeled after Israel’s Iron Dome but because it sounds more expensive, he’s calling it The Golden Dome. It not only sounds more expensive, it is more expensive.

Then in a creative spark of inspiration, a great idea came to him. If he could con Canada into getting involved financially, it would only cost half as much.

Here is his brilliant idea: If he can get Canada to chip in $61 billion, we could be included under his Golden Dome too.

Um, I have a question: If we say no, absolutely not, then who protects the American State of Alaska? Will he abandon them to the imaginary foes he thinks will be bombing the USA before his rotting hide is safely six feet underground? Or will he expect us to do his job?

Why the hell would we need his dopey dome? We are the world’s peacekeepers. Nobody hates Canada. Well, nobody except for Donald Trump’s base who claim we are not a country at all.

So given those facts, please explain to me why we should pay $61 billion to lock ourselves under this imaginary dome, trapping us inside with our only enemy?
