IBus Vietnamese Unikey: Accent after vocal in gedit

I have installed IBus with Vietnamese unikey input. Settings are: Input method extended Telex, Output Unikey. When I type "ddoost" I would expect "đốt" . In my browser it works, but when I type in the text editor (gedit), I get the rising tone accent on the "t", not on the "ô". When I type "ddoos", I see "đô" followed by something like an apostroph, and when I then press the "t" I get "đô"…
