By Brandon Holthaus - https://harbingersdaily.com/if-the-church-will-not-teach-the-truth-about-israel-someone-else-will-gladly-teach-the-next-generation-a-lie/
There is a spiritual battle raging today over one nation unlike any other in history. That nation is Israel.
It seems everyone has an opinion about Israel—politicians, journalists, influencers, podcasters, celebrities, and social media personalities. Sadly, one of the few places where many Christians are not hearing about Israel is from the pulpit.
That silence has come at a tremendous cost.
The issue of Israel has become a dividing line in the Church. Entire denominations, Bible colleges, seminaries, pastors, and Christian influencers are abandoning the biblical view of Israel and replacing it with theological systems that deny Israel’s future. As a result, millions of Christians are confused about God’s plan for the Jewish people, while younger generations are increasingly adopting anti-Israel narratives from secular voices rather than biblical truth. The Root of the Problem: Replacement Theology

The most dangerous period in the conflict with Iran may not be determined by missiles, aircraft or troop movements. It may be determined by the calendar.
President Donald Trump appears increasingly willing to slow the military tempo and let economic pressure do the work. His administration is preparing what Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has called the “toughest sanctions in history,” targeting Iran’s oil revenues, financial networks and countries that continue doing business with Tehran. Trump himself recently described the approach as “low-keying it,” signaling that, at least for now, he prefers economic warfare to another major round of strikes.
That strategy requires something Washington believes it has: time.
Iran may be reaching exactly the opposite conclusion.

On Aug. 13, 2026, Alex Newman (The Liberty Sentinel) and Steve Deace (Steve Deace Show-Podcast; Blaze Media) discussed “Why Christianity Is Exploding Under Persecution—While Dying In The West.” Part of what they said:
Christianity is fading across the free West—but exploding under persecution in China and Iran.
They asked why—and what it means for the future of Christianity and Western civilization.
They continued:
Across Europe and America, churches are closing, pews are emptying, and Christianity is rapidly losing ground. But behind the walls of some of the world’s most repressive regimes, something very different is happening.

In continuing to think on the current Iranian regime that is a threat to Israel and its neighbor nations, the matter of restraint by God the Holy Spirit is all important.
In other commentaries, we’ve looked at that restraint and how President Trump has, for some unknown reason, not yet finished eliminating the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRCG). I believe this strange turn of events—Trump’s unequivocal declaration that he would destroy Iran’s war-making capability and yet his ongoing negotiations despite the IRCG continuing to fire on ships—is due to Holy Spirit restraint.
This usually-in-command president now seemingly giving in to Iran’s deceiving negotiators has no secular rationale. My conclusion, based upon study of Bible prophecy and carefully watching what’s going on in the Iranian matters, is that God Himself is restraining the destruction of this regime. I believe the Lord might be holding back Mr. Trump from doing what he promised—complete obliteration of Iran’s war-making ability—for Bible prophecy about the Gog-Magog destruction (Ezekiel 38 and 39) to be fulfilled. The fulfillment of that prophecy will include the almost total destruction of the Gog-Magog force attacking Israel.

I recently watched a minister online. He gave a scathing critique of those who dare call out purveyors of false doctrine. He said we should love our fellow Christians. Paradoxically, he criticized those who criticize others. He seemed intent on inoculating his followers — making them immune to charges of false doctrine against his friends and himself.
In one sense, the attack seemed pious. Don’t criticize. Be loving. Be sweet. But Jesus ran the money changers out of the temple. In Revelation 2:6, He expressed disdain for the deeds of the Nicolaitans. In Matthew 7:15-16, Jesus said, “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits.”

Ki Tetze (When You Go Out), Deuteronomy 21:10-25:19, continues Moses’ provisions of the covenant. This portion contains 74 commands, more than any other Torah portion. Among them are laws requiring dignity for captive women, protecting the firstborn, dealing with a rebellious son, restoring lost property, showing kindness to animals, and governing marriage, divorce, sexual immorality, and levirate marriage. Even a man executed for a capital crime and hung on a tree was to be buried by sundown because he bore God’s image and the land was not to be defiled. The portion closes with God’s command to remember Amalek’s cruelty toward Israel and “blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.”
Deuteronomy 21:22-23 says that when someone guilty of a capital crime is put to death and hung on a tree, his body must be buried that same day, “for he who is hanged is accursed of God.” The Torah describes execution followed by hanging as a public warning. The Septuagint, however, inverted the word order, rendering it essentially, “hang him on wood so that he dies,” a wording later used to support the Roman practice of crucifixion (Y. Yadin, Megillat HaMikdash). The Hebrew word for hanged or impaled is Talui, or HaTalui, literally “the Hanged One” or “the Crucified One.” Taluibecame a title used for Yeshua among the Jewish people. Opponents of the gospel used Deuteronomy to argue that Yeshua could not be Messiah because anyone hanging upon a tree was under God’s curse.
Paul, learned in Torah, confronted that argument: “no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed” (1 Corinthians 12:3). Paul explains the mystery in Galatians 3:13-14: “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us,” because Scripture says, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.” The passage used to deny Yeshua as Messiah explains what Messiah accomplished. He took the curse belonging to us. Through that sacrifice, Abraham’s promised blessing could extend to the Gentiles, and by faith we might receive the promised Spirit. Peter also saw this truth. He declared, “The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree” (Acts 5:30). Peter wrote that Yeshua “bore our sins in His own body on the tree,” that we might live for righteousness (1 Peter 2:24).
The Talui, the Crucified One, became cursed in our place so that we could be reconciled to the Father. What appeared as shame became the means through which God fulfilled His promise to Abraham that all families of the earth would be blessed. Yeshua gave Himself for us through a horrendous and humiliating death, bearing what belonged to us. The tree signifying a curse became the place where our redemption was purchased. No one else could have accomplished this. No sacrifice we could offer, no work we could perform, no righteousness we could manufacture could do what Messiah did on our behalf. As 1 Peter 2:24 says, “by whose stripes ye were healed.” The Crucified One became our Redeemer. Blessed be He!

I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
—Psalm 119:11
https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/the-hidden-word/ - Listen
You’ve probably heard the old saying that a Bible that’s falling apart is usually the sign of a life that isn’t. I must admit that I like to see beat-up, marked-up Bibles that are coming apart, because it tells me that they’ve seen heavy use. Their pages are well-worn. Favorite passages can be located immediately because of familiar breaks in the spine. Every scribbled note, every underlined passage tells a story.
I’ve often said that there should be a Bible produced especially for preachers. In fact, I’ve mentioned the idea to people who actually publish Bibles. I told them, “Make a preacher’s Bible. Give it a steel binding.” After all, preachers really use their Bibles. As we’re speaking, we do things like shake it, hold it up, and point to it. Why we do that, I don’t really know.
Of course, as believers, we shouldn’t simply shake our Bibles or hold them up or point to them. We need to read God’s Word. We need to memorize it. We need to follow the example of the psalmist who said, “I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you” (Psalm 119:11 NLT).
A purse or a briefcase may serve as a handy carrier for God’s Word, but our heart is an even better one. Jesus kept God’s Word in His heart. When the devil tempted Him in the wilderness, Jesus quoted Scripture to counter him. Three times the devil did his worst. And three times he was rebuffed by the Word of God. Matthew 4:11 says simply, “Then the devil went away” (NLT). He was no match for God’s Word.
Scripture can serve a similar purpose in our lives. We have no way of knowing when and how the devil is going to tempt us. But we do know that God’s Word will thwart his plans. So, it’s important that we carry it with us wherever we go. That way, we can deploy it when we need to.
Hiding God’s Word in our hearts also helps us fulfill the Great Commission. The apostle Paul wrote of unbelievers, “But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, ‘How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!’” (Romans 10:14–15 NLT).
The more quickly and effectively we can access the Good News, the more powerful our witness will be. Being able to draw from what’s stored in our heart is a tremendous advantage.
God’s Word is a powerful tool, and a powerful weapon against our enemy, whether we hold it in our hands or in our heart.

"Folks, it's all beginning to unravel. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ. We still have time to reap a great harvest of souls for God's kingdom!" - Hal Lindsey
