Proskii · Tastes Like a Cheat Meal

Hello Broskiis!

Welcome to the thirty-sixth edition of Tastes Like a Cheat Meal. You can read the others here: https://newsletter.proskii.in/ & https://proskii.substack.com

If you’re new here, this is Proskii’s weekly newsletter. Both Rohit and I (Yash) hate long emails, so we keep these short and promise not to spam your loving soul.

SACH MAI!! AMRITSARI CHOLE KULCHO KI KASAM

Think about the last time you ordered something online.

You probably tracked it every few hours.

You saw “Order Packed.” Then “Shipped.”
Then “Out for Delivery.”

And if you’re unlucky...
You also saw “Delivery Delayed.”

Again. & again.

After a point, you stop caring why it’s delayed.

You don’t care if it’s because of traffic, weather, the courier company, or someone accidentally sent your package to another city.

You only know one thing. You trusted a brand with your money.

And your order still hasn’t reached you.

That’s exactly what happened to us a few weeks ago.

Usually, Proskii orders reach our customers within 3–5 business days.

For a few remote pincodes, it can take up to a week.

That’s been our standard for a long time.

But recently, one of our delivery partners went through a massive operational failure along with a data breach.

Almost overnight, deliveries that usually took a few days started taking 15–20 days.

As if that wasn’t enough, some customers also started receiving fraudulent calls related to their orders because of the data breach.

It was honestly one of the most stressful weeks we’ve had since starting Proskii.

For those few days, nobody in the team was thinking about content.
Nobody cared about growth numbers.
Nobody was discussing the next product launch.

Every conversation inside Proskii was about one thing.
How do we fix this for our customers?

We personally called customers whose orders were stuck.
We apologized.
We tracked shipments manually.

Wherever it made sense, we sent fresh replacements through another delivery partner.

And while all of this was happening, we immediately decided to stop working with the delivery partner responsible for the mess.

It wasn’t an easy decision.

But it was the right one.

Technically, none of this happened because of Proskii.

We didn’t lose the shipments.
We didn’t cause the delays.
We didn’t cause the data breach.

But honestly... Saying that out loud didn’t make us feel any better.

Because when someone orders from Proskii, they’re not placing their trust in a logistics company.

They’re placing their trust in us.

They don’t see different companies handling manufacturing, warehousing, and delivery.

They only see one name: ‘Proskii’.

And that’s exactly how it should be.

Replacing orders wasn’t cheap.
Switching delivery partners overnight wasn’t cheap.
Managing everything manually definitely wasn’t cheap.

It affected our profitability much more than we would’ve liked.

But that’s business.

The more expensive thing would’ve been losing someone’s trust forever.

It’s very easy to post customer reviews.
It’s very easy to celebrate milestones.
It’s very easy to show the good days.

The difficult part is talking about the weeks where everything feels like it’s going wrong.

But if we’re serious about building Proskii in public, then we also have to talk about the messy parts.

Not because we’re proud that they happened. But because we’re proud of how we responded when they did.

We’re genuinely sorry.

We know some of you waited far longer than you should have. We know some of you had to deal with unnecessary confusion.

And we know that’s frustrating.

Thank you for being patient with us.
Thank you to everyone who replied to our calls.
Thank you to everyone who gave us another chance.

We’ve now moved away from that delivery partner, strengthened our logistics operations and made sure future orders are handled much more reliably.

And if you ever face an issue again...

Please message us. Call us. Email us.
We’ll fix it as quickly as we possibly can.

Because at the end of the day, we’re not just delivering cereal.

We’re delivering a promise that your mornings matter to us.

One small heads-up before we wrap this up.

Mumbai has been receiving heavy rain over the past few days, so deliveries across the city (and a few other regions) are taking a little longer than usual.

If your Proskii order is delayed by a day or two, we’re genuinely sorry.

Our team is keeping a close eye on every shipment and doing everything we can to get your breakfast to you as quickly as possible.

Thank you for being patient with us.

We promise it’ll be worth the wait.

Thank you for reading till the end – You’re a sweetu ❤️

Also thank you for subscribing to the newsletter – sweetu x 2 ❤️

We’re working hard taki AAP CEREAL CHUNO, DELIVERY DRAMA NAHI!!

See you next week :)
