Greetings one and all from an incredibly wet and cold England. When one is provided with not so summery times like this, it is in the British spirit to find the good. For someone as unhinged cultured! as moi, good finds translate to £950 19th century fabric boxes, beaded sandals and a giant raffia hat. So do indulge me, crack open a Diet Coke or a Ghia and find the cool girl picks of the week:
£950 19th century fabric boxes?! I hear you exclaim. Well take a look and you’ll understand why I so desperately need one. If you want to know which brand all the cool girls are talking about right now, it’s Mémoire. A luxury lifestyle branded founded by none other than Rosie Huntington Whitely. AKA the female Jesus for the chic inclined. It is no surprise that any venture of Rosie’s would not be completely aesthetically aligned and after receiving a few pieces, I am left (for one of the first times when it comes to gifted items) wanting to buy more. My favourites include this photo frame, this impeccable notebook and this candle (that I’m burning right now).
If Mémoire ‘invites you to immerse yourself in their worlds, where product and atmosphere collide to create a universe of one’s own.’ then please, where do I buy a ticket?
Talking of brands all the cool girls want to bite a piece out of right now, naturally Courtney Grow’s collection for Reformation hath caused quite a stir. She’s knows what she’s doing, and she’s doing it very well. I can picture NYC fashion girls wearing these jeans that remind me of vintage Levi’s, along with this perfectly shrunkenesque t shirt, beaded flip flops and this raffia clutch that reminds me of an old Row one I missed out on.
If there is one category I will continue to hoard (apart from jeans) it is sunglasses, a girl can never have too many. What I love about sunglasses is how one pair can completely change your outward (and inward too let’s honest) presenting personality. One minute I'm wayfaring and feeling like a classic upper east sider, next I’m extremely oversized and drinking everything out of a straw. Side Eye is a new brand I discovered last week in New York and it feels like CBK and Khaite had a baby. For a casual outing I love these, for a cool girl feel these are perfect and for the drama? These will do the trick.

Now if you’re anything like me, as soon as the sun enters my bloodstream, the below is suddenly my entire personality - with a heavy Olsen dosage. To top this minimal Martha Stewart pipeline dream off, I came across these Garden clogs on Celine. Are they practical? Actually yes! Are they extortionate? Most probably! Will I be buying them? Unfortunately for those invested in the state of my wallet, yes. (Oh and rereading the above boosts any statistics of studies showing we all turn into our mother, not that I am at all complaining).
Perhaps I am going to be a Celine girl with the way Michael is going, the correct amount of logo and with an actual practical requirement - I stand no chance.

In case you’re a fellow brit, may I tell you that Violet Grey finally has a UK presence! You’ll find said presence nestled in Harvey Nichols. If you go, you must try this perfume…when I tell you it leaves a lasting impression. One with notes of sandalwood smoke, lily, jasmine and vetiver. Oh and not only does it last all day and smell frankly sexual, it apparently transports you to 1992 NYC! hot.
