Hark! It is that time of the year, where we say our prayers to the world’s coolest Gemini’s. It’s funny how we tend to run in horoscopic (definitely not a word but doesn’t it sound great) paths in our lives. For example, I have only dated Aquarius men (my father is an Aquarius so I don’t want to hear anything with the word Freud in), but lots of people I meet have similar experiences with finding a lot of similar sign people around them in their lives. Do any of you relate?
Not only have a dated exclusively Aquarius men, but I seem to befriend a lot of Gemini’s. They get a lot of stick but I find them to be some of the funniest and interesting people. Therefore it is my firm belief that it’s only a matter of time until I meet the Olsen’s, and inevitably befriend them with my clear weirdness wit and Scorpio energy. I give you this substack as a Happy Birthday to two of the coolest twins, that like it or not, have completely redefined what fashion is in 2026. So, without further ado this is how to dress like Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen this summer:
If there is one thing you can always expect the Olsen’s to wear, it’s a unique patterned (almost always vintage) jacket. See below for evidence and see above (and throughout) for an affordable option.
I also love THIS on Etsy for a similar vibe, all handmade too.
Another Olsen staple in summer is an oversized shirt, worn with black pants or their favourite Free City sweat - usually adorned with a scarf (usually from their favourite Yaser Shawl!)
One thing about the Olsens, they are going to wear a kaftan style dress with trousers underneath. It gives pieces like this elevated Tory Burch kaftan a cool girl edge. Oh and they ALWAYS wear the best, interesting jewellery - these butterfly earrings are amazing.
Wondering what shoes the Olsens wear basically all year round? If you say anything other than flip flops I’m going to start selling courses…I have never seen anyone so committed to a thong sandal and I love it - it just adds the perfect amount of relaxed to any look.
There is an Olsen photo from the farmers market that lives on my mind freely, so here is it recreated, vintage t-shirt and all. The Balenciaga is for your produce FYI.
Sandals + Vintage Hermes + Interesting Jewellery + Unique Jacket + Fun Sunglasses = Olsen Cool Girl.
Another kimono, would you believe this is Zara? The St Agni pants are perfect for summer.
Naturally I had to recreate the below Olsen snap, taken on a walk from her husband - someone has to provide the content! oh and sorry no Machete was available to style.
Easy, chic and elevated, just like the below.
My ideal summer look, the dress is also under £200 from a brand you need to know about for summer.
I feel like people forgot how much the Olsen’s love colour, I mean just look below.
A brand to know is Cortana, I saw this dress on Christie Tyler and now I’m hooked.
If you love the look of the Yaser Shawl scarves and not the price, this Toteme one is perfect.
A fun jacket takes a fringe form with this Etro number, wear casually with jeans and Jamie Haller sandals for an easy summer lunch look.

Buy of the week: Saved NY Blankets
If you thought Hermes blankets were the height of luxury then you were wrong, Saved NY is the coolest new discovery I’ve had in a while. I mean where else can you find a Bambi print cashmere blanket? I currently have this and this in my cart.
