Is there a place, a person, or regular moment in your week — where you don’t have to manage yourself quite so carefully?
Maybe it’s a walk somewhere green and a bit unruly. A friend who doesn’t need you to be fine. A group where you can talk about anything and everything. Whatever it is, we’re guessing you know the feeling — that particular kind of ease that comes when you’re not spending energy on performing, pleasing, or protecting. When you can just... be.
What makes these opportunities to be uniquely us possible?
We've been sitting with that question as we prepared this week's finding.
Warm wishes,
Chelle & Evie

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been sharing what our 2026 research conversations with women revealed — and this is the third, and final, finding.
If you’ve been following along:
The first finding reminded us that ‘good girl’ conditioning no longer needs anyone else to enforce it. By adulthood, most of us carry those rules inside — performing perfectly, pleasing everyone, and protecting others as reflex behaviors to earn safety and love.
The second finding showed us that the path out to being ‘uniquely you’ isn’t a quick one. It requires the intentional choices and regular practices to build the skills of self-compassion, secure attachment, and self-leadership that teach us to how to provide the safety and love required to finally trust ourselves.
When women in our focus group started describing what their lives looked like as self-trust settled into every thought and each cell of their body, we noticed a fascinating shift. Confident they now had the internal resources they needed to no longer abandon themselves, their attention and energy was once more drawn outward.
Three themes emerged consistently.
Cherishing nature — choosing time in nature, embracing the world’s mess and magic. Whether it was sitting, walking, floating, planting, hugging or anything else that called to our bodies, there is a deep hunger to build a closer relationship with mother nature.
Cultivating community — choosing to show up in community, investing in healthy, respectful relationships. Feeling confident we can be in connection with others while honoring our boundaries, there is an open hearted generosity and joy that is nourished by spending time with others.
Claiming belonging — choosing to own belonging, sharing spaces that feel safe enough. No longer waiting for others to deem us worthy, we move through the world knowing that we each belong with everybody, everywhere, as part of this one beautiful living ecosystem.
We’re calling this a way of being 'Uniquely Us’.
This doesn't mean the 'good girl' patterns vanish. Or that there is not a need for plenty of time to just explore how to be ‘uniquely you’. But as self-trust grows, the love we've been learning to extend to ourselves starts to move outward too — toward the world, toward others, toward the places where we all belong.
Please note: We are mindful that ‘girl’, ‘woman’, ‘boy’ and ‘man’ are socially constructed ideas of gender that can fall painfully short of defining the fabulous complexity of who we each are. If these words resonate with part of how you have previously or currently identified yourself, we’d love to hear about your lived experiences.
