Understanding, communication, and interactions can arrive moment by moment, word by word, bite by bite.
At BFA + Immigrant Kitchen we are aware that we all have our own biases, yet our request is to try to leave them at the door. While values and beliefs may vary, our spaces can provide increased insight and empathy for one another.
We do this subtly, lovingly, deliciously.
When I reflect on these photos from some of our many events gone by, I love seeing these seemingly small— but actually huge— moments of strangers becoming friends, listening to each other, laughing with each other, and allowing meaningful food to become the backdrop for trust and mutual respect.
We believe these moments make our more community not just better and richer, but safer and more livable.
We hope you join us and make your own moment at one of our summer events which we will be announcing soon!
