I never intended to clear off all pretty girls, break off addictions to vices, & quit having endless fun in the name of the mission...
even the greatest winners have their schizo autistic quirks and traits.
getting covered in ink, drinking red wine/negronis on the weekends w a lengthy book in hand, marlboro gold in the other, and a smoking hot brunette laid up on my lap gazing up in intoxicated love. is mine.
that was always the dream.
during the week it's running up numbers in my bank account and forever chasing the golden ratio at the gym. anything to propel me forward.
there is not a single cloud that could darknen this level of enjoyment.
this type of interest is revealed very early on in life. and once it shines over your head, there should be NOTHING in ur way to stop you.
nothing. at. all.
some days you will feel like nothing is working out, pieces of the puzzle that never fit. it's the worst feeling.
I get it.
and that's exactly why when it hits you, you should start moving at 2x intensity. until the brick wall between you and life you've envisioned urself living is gone completely.
so. when others used to tell me that I should enjoy my 20s. drink till blackout and smoke till colourblind, enjoy every flavour of girl imaginable, and travel more...
I laughed.
enjoy my life when there is so much money to be stacked, muscles to be gained, lessons to be learned...?
at first I didn't quite understand it. I really didn't.
until not so long ago, I started taking on things I have deprived myself of in the beginning of this journey.
of course, whilst maintaining my obsessive compulsive personality towards the journey.
enjoying the lost years, if you will.
I always had my eyes on the ball. nothing else.
I was always rooted to the ground by the desire to be the greatest.
still am. nothing changed.
there really is no right or wrong answer here.
I was willing to sacrifice my 20s, possibly 30s, to get to the top of the highest ladder and enjoy the fruits of my labour when it comes to it.
and there is humans who are willing to waste their life surviving on bare minimum, the unemployed kind, but enjoying the life they got in the present moment.
and I believe there is a few lessons to take from this...
I'm still a huge believer that you should be 100% strict w urself, and unlock your truest potential.
you should still work most early mornings and late nights, finish off with a brutal training at the gym, and take in all the info you can find...
not saying that you should slack off from now on.
but there is a fine line when this will eventually break you. with no point of return. trust me.
and if you don't take a few days off a month. it's almost certain it will happen.
brain so fried the work you do will never feel the same.
and when you get to that point...
you will know that this is the "perfect" time to enjoy life.
flirt with some girls that walk past you for fun, explore unknown lands with unfamiliar tongues, light up a cigarette, make a gorgeous looking negroni, and go sit on the balcony with a great book in absolute silence, or listen to a long podcast in noise blocking headphones.
whatever keeps ur mental in check.
there should be days when work doesn't even come to mind, and you just savour the fruits of your hard labour.
then when you go back to it...
you're walking in with extreme confidence and mental clarity that everything you are about to do on will be the best piece of work you've ever done.
one day at a time. time passes by either way, make sure you live the days you have been given to the max. see what works for you.
it is a tradeoff that's worth every penny.
that's all there is to it.
there is no drug in the world that feels better than this.
stay schizo.
