Loop Unlimited Pre-Launch Page
As I mentioned in last week's article, the Loop ‘n’ Loot Core Rulebook has benn delayed by a few months. That being said, I did not want to let the system simmer in its own pot for so long: I believe it is time that more people eat the soup!
Every year, Kickstarter organizes a month dedicated to “low key projects” in the form of zines. Limited number of pages, focused theme, limited production quantities, black & white color only, etc. Therefore, I decided to enter the ZineQuest dance with the first Loop ‘n’ Loot physical product ever: Loop Unlimited, a setting Zine.
The zine will provide a framework for anyone who wants to play Loop ‘n’ Loot within a fantasy setting but does not necessarily know how to justify rules such as:
Why does everyone die if one PC dies?
How do the souls work?
Why are the PCs eager to get loot?
Loop Unlimited gives any Croupiers answers to these questions. The zine has been written and designed for the Loop ‘n’ Loot system but, de facto, it is very much a system agnostic product. The zine just provides the setting and the Croupier can plug in any other dungeon or adventure they wish, including the free dungeon that I’ll present next week! (But you can already find it online with a minimum amount of effort.)
Having a low key kickstarter will help me build confidence to run the big one. I’ll be working with the selected printer for the Core Rulebook, I’ll test a Pledge Manager, shipping and all of these things on a less stressfull project.
I will highly, highly, HIGHLY encourage anyone to pre-register to the kickstarter page for Loop Unlimited to be warned when it launches. February 12th, it launches on February 12th! ALSO, in the kickstarter campaign, there will be a link to access the free quickstart rules. (Although, once again, you can already find them online with a minimum amount of effort.)
