I don’t know what is going on right now in the cosmos, though it is telling me that this moment in time is magnificent. Everything feels as it should be. I’m sure you’ve assumed this is strictly speaking in terms of my own personal and professional life. When thinking about the world at large, I have a bone crushing feeling of devastation. I wonder though, if there is a way to be an informed citizen, who carries the weight of the world, yet doesn’t allow it to crush one’s hope for a better future.
I have been doing exercises of gratitude regularly for a few years now and I can confirm that I am seeing the benefits as we speak. By training my brain to see the beauty in every day happenings, I feel awakened and alive. I now need to use this as super power to spread love and joy throughout my inner circle and beyond.
Ever since I was in my early 20’s I have had the desire to start some sort of ethical and social enterprise. A charity? Something like this.
For so many years of my teenage hood through to young adulthood, shit was tough, really tough. And scary. I was in fight or flight for a lengthy 15 years or so. Having that visceral taste of how dark life can get has put me in a position of power in 2026. When I have a month like this, where everything feels aligned and good, it tastes sweeter than smooth, golden honey.
How could I achieve this sensation without having experienced the darkness (?) is a question I often use to justify and heal my past experiences. And right now I am so ready to take the plunge into some sort of service work.
I can’t think of the exact details of the social enterprise, but I trust the idea will come to me. The universe will provide.
At 20 years old I longed to open a theatre for young people who had experienced grief and trauma. That’s why I studied 3 years of a psychology degree. I was working towards that goal. Sadly, though not unfortunately, I got a little lost and found myself here, in music and in writing.
You can probably see why I am now ready to take on this new journey. Also, my daughter is starting school in September which means I have the luxury of time on my hands. I’m devastated to not have every day with the love of my life, but I am confident that she will thrive in this next stage of life.
In the meantime I am spending these warm days and nights preparing her for that transition and holding onto these precious memories like there’s no tomorrow. In the downtime I am trying to sit with the winds of excitement and thirst for servitude, waiting for that idea to come to me. I know it will involve music and community, hand in hand.
I do know my intention with this is to create a path for people who have experienced hardship of any form, to have an outlet and path they can take which will (hopefully) lead them to the position I am in - here and now. Happy, thriving, safe, fed, hopeful and grateful.
Selfishly too, regularly being around other young (or old) artists is one way to inspire and coax out the most creative and artistic voice within.
Feel free to send me some ideas or governing bodies who can help with funding once the idea is live xxx
